Considering he looked terrible at 147lbs, and gets knocked out at 147lbs. Figures he might as well stick in the only division he's done good in. Does this disqualify you from P4P? P4P meaning weight doesn't effect you or your style and you can dominant through the rankings of weight classes. Ricky has showed he can't already so..? no, if ricky can beat pac, jmm and floyd, he can be considered as p4p #1. when was the last time a boxer beat the p4p #1 and #2 boxer and the recently retired p4p #1 boxer? that is unprecedented shiit.

Yes yes yes!!! I know that weight shouldn't be a factor as far as moving up and down. But that being said, we've seen Hatton attempt to move up and was unsuccessful. So the idea of your style is able to beat other fighters regardless of weight, knowing that his style was affected by the weight difference, it doesn't mean anything? Just beating other fighters ranked #1 and 2 who have effectively moved up and down, that makes him #1 then? Maybe we should add a different category to the P4P rankings or way that it's based on.

P4P simply means "all things equal." A fighter can never move up or down in weight and still be the number 1 P4P fighter.

Yes, he can. If he beats who he wants to beat, then he definitely can be pound for pound number 1. Besides, Hagler, Monzon etc. and heavyweights are/were ranked in the top 10 pound for pound without moving up.

P4P is not about moving up or down in weight classes. Is about your dominace compare to ther fighters in other divisions. That been said, hatton doesnt have a super impresive resume. Even if he beats Pacquiao he wont be number 1 P4P, hell be P4P number 5 at best. He needs to beat more than 1 big name to be cosider number 1. I think you guys are forgetting or didn't read everything. I mentioned how Hatton ALREADY attempted another weight class and failed pretty bad at it. Thus he's moved back down to the only division he seemed to be good at. So now with that in mind that he sucks ballz at another weight class, would you guys say he can still be P4P top 3? A fighter whose jumping up and down classes is going to meet him at the weight class he's best at which should advantage him. I don't see how Hatton can move up any higher than he is whereever that might be. P4P isn't about moving up and down weight classes.

Pound for pound just means that out of all the divisions you are overall the best fighter, so i don't think it matters THAT MUCH if you only fight in one division, otherwise how come Mike Tyson was p4p number 1, i know its different but still. ^ This So yes, he is. If Hatton beats Pacman he is the P4P king.

If he could beat Pac and then JMM right after, he'd be there. I don't see it happenin tho. Agreed, he will be top 2 if he beats these 2... but not number 1 just from beating Pacquiao at his 5th weight class.
