he will be the future of the heavyweight division.
a 6'7 beast who participated on the 08 olympics and debuted tonight.
he just destroyed some dude in the 1st round with a right hand.
he's a hope for excitement in the HW division.
I forgot to Bump it but this guy was in the undercard of lopez-penalosa and he KTFO a dude in the 1st round again with a 1-2.
Hopefully he's a future Heavyweight Champion in the making.
He was in the Olympics right? At 6'7, he won't stay at LHW or Cruiserweight, he'll be a heavyweight once he fills out. It'll be interesting to watch his development.
co-sign :boxing: I'll start checking up on his career for now on.
No men, he made his pro debut, las night.
They just neeed to develop and polish those skills and he will be a real great fighter.
But you know, anything can happend, but he looks like very good one in the making!!!!
Good to know, I'll definitely follow his career from here on out. Hopefully he develops well and turns out to be a real prospect.
Dude's very skinny. He's gonna need to add a lot of weight if he wants to compete at heavyweight. Here's one of his amateur fights.
he is just 21 years old and just debuted. he was not too way ago in the amateurs.he'll get bigger.
maybe he will be the guy who knocks the **** out of the klits....we can only hope
by the time negron becomes a full contender the klits will be way gone.
Well good to see somebody else noticed his talents.
Yeah, Ive always thought Negron has that aura around him. With his size, he has showed great boxing ability and sometimes uses it to throw punches with his body weight like Roy Jones. Very nice boxer.
Its funny, with Cotto and Calderon having 10+ title defenses, I thought the olympic class of 2000 was the best class Puerto Rico would have for some time, but Juanma and De Jesus are threatening to change that, and just last month we had the first ever amateur fight between the world's best young 112 amateur fighter in Jonathan Gonzalez and one of the best olympic 112amateur fighter in McWilliams Arroyo.
Puerto Rican boxing is definetly getting better as the years progress.

A video, thanks. He does move very well for his size. That technical side would be a pain to most current HWs, particularly that leaning guard that he does. Most heavies are just used to hit stationary targets, just look how dull the boxing of Peter and Chambers was.
He is very athletic. I guess he will be a HW like in 2 years.
I hope they develops him properly, he have a chance of being something special!!!!!!
He will certaily move up in the LHW rankings quite fast, that division has grown kind of weak since Calzaghe retired and Hopkins moved up to challenge Adamtek. Besides Chad Dawson, who's left? An old Roy Jones? Tarver? If he becomes a legitimate beast, I will jump on his bandwagon for the sake of the HW division, we need a dominant champion there.

Ok, fair enough. So, standing at 6'7, is he lanky or athletic? Just trying to figure if he will stay in the LHW and Cruisers for some time or will go directly to HW.

Chris Arreola vs this dude for the heavyweight championship of the world in 2011!!!
But seriously, I didn't see him, but it's good to have new talent at heavyweight. Let's hope he is sucessful enough to add some spice.
