Where does boxing go next if Hatton beats Pacquiao?

Witter had no right to demand a fight with Hatton? How about the fact it would of been a brilliant British boxing fight and the fact Witter had the WBC LWW belt....the belt that's more prestigeous than Hattons IBO belt, LOL. Tszyu held the WBC belt and still would have by the time he fought Hatton had he not been stripped whilst he was injured....Ricky has also been stripped of the IBF twice and also the WBA for not fighting almost exactly the same guy's now competing for those belts. As i'm sure you know Ricky won the WBA off Maussa who KO'd Vivian Harris for the belt who is the biggest win of Junior's career.....Basically, Ricky is undisputed at the weight whether you like it or not - the WBC title is nice for what it stands for in regards history, but serves no real purpose as leveridge when used to try to get a fight agianst the LINEAL/RING champ in Hatton who is also the economic powerhouse in the division to go along with his status as the 140 lb boss. Having said that, If Witter had held onto the title against Bradley there would have been no excuse for Ricky not to have fought him then instead of Malignaggi.

boxing needs new names and rivalry to see bright future in boxing sports. fight fans has to groom new talents aside from the sunset career mostly of the best crop of boxers today; jmm, pacman, pfb and hatton....another few fights of these names would screw fight fans of watching a bouts just simply for fun rather than a real ppp it cost us. fight fans hate to see these names leaving their glorious days flat in the canvass, defeated and aging.

Hatton-JMM would be good at 140, but he'd likely be challenged by SSM.

Kosta is the only name that needs mentioning, i do think pac fans are seriously underestimating Hatton, Pac aint to be underestimated but who has he beaten at light welter, or at light weight, he Diaz but he wasnt the best in that division, Hatton is, if he aint then you tell me who you think is

I think the next step is marquez-hatton, specially if they bump up marquez to number 1 p4p in the world...and after hatton kills him...thats more one-sided than pac-hatton....then we set-up mayweather-hatton 2 in england at 140, then hatton might retire... but what you guys think happens to the boxing scene if hatton wins may 2nd? all pinoys will commit suicide

I agree completly, financially he made the smart choice but to say Witter had no right to call out Hatton is pretty stupid when Witter had the WBC belt. yea hatton is an established brand in boxing like it or not....and could get bigger come may 2nd...i say he fights marquez next if mayweatehr doesnt come out of retirement

I'm a Hatton fan and dont like Witter, thats why I want him to fight him. He's not as bad as everyone lets on, and he only lost his World title cos his dad tied the day of the fight imo, and would give Ricky some problems, but would still get KTFO in brutal fashion rounds 9-11. But there was bigger fish to fry then and there's even bigger fish to fry now

I dont disagree that its great for british boxing as I personally would love to see the fight as im sure many others would. Its similar to Froch v Calzaghe in many ways. Fighters will go where the money is though and after all they are the ones getting in the ring etc

He shouldnt go to WW again EVER in my opinion. Pac Bradley or Holt winner JMM or Mayweather (at 140 if possible) in UK retire. My opinion almost exactly. Welterweights been tried and tested without success. The only Welter I would like to see Ricky fight is Cotto - at a catchweight of about 144. But its a big if beating Pac. I'm a Hatton fan and this will be almost as tough as Floyd imo. IF he beats Pac, unify 140 by beating Bradley/Holt, fight JMM, and maybe Cotto at catchweight. Then retire, maybe a farewell fight in Manchester against Witter. Forget about Floyd.

Witter hasnt beaten anyone of note and has no right to demand a fight with Hatton. That said though I would love Hatton to fight him next to shut him up. Would never happen unfortunately as theres not the money in it that hatton can get elsewhere. JMM best bet for hatton next

He wil not Kill JMM styles makes fight. he could win a desicion or KO JMM but not like a real beating. Anyways if he beats Pacquiao, he shhould aim for Cotto or Mosley. He should there to be great.
