Lately theres been alot of floyd threads and im so sick of hearing all of his cult talk about how he's the greatest and blah, blah, blah
i dont hate floyd i think he is one of the most talented boxers out there he's got sick skills
but the bottom line is he lost to castillo in there first fight
castillo landed more punchers and landed more of the harder punches majority of floyds punches was jabs.
He ran around the whole time and if you watch the fight you can see him using dirty tactics the whole fight like holding down castillo's head and putting his elbow in his face these tactics happened throughout the fight
ive watched this fight over and over again and every time it disturbs me that floyd got this victory
no im not mexican im from hawaii i jus thought i had too say that so these floyd lovers wont think im just being bias cuz they
i dont have a favorite boxer i just like seeing good fights i have watch boxing from when i was little and too here all these floyd fans too keep saying he is the atg is ridiculous
he's great but stop worshiping a f***ing human being, he's not unstopable and castillo showed that.
dont post if you dont like the facts
im sorry you cant handle the fact that all of your guyz hero really shouldnt be undefeated so u give it bro
someone doesnt know the difference between facts and opinions:spank:
You're making it seem as if I think the fight wasn't close. The fight was EXTREMELY close. I have no problems with you thinking Castillo won the fight, clearly your criteria for judging fights is slightly different than mine and a lot of peoples.
I just have a problem with the fact that you are unable to accept that your opinion isn't the absolute. The fight was not a robbery, it was so close that it could of been scored for either fighter, it just so happened it was given to Floyd that night. Give credit to Floyd for giving Castillo the immediate rematch, and winning decisively, without a torn rotator cuff.
By the way, Floyd is right handed, meaning his jab typically lands on the opponents right side of the face, not the left.
Floyd strafed Castillo with some pretty damn nice righthands.
I agree with the bulk of that, green karma. :fing02:
Old as shit, this has been done to death, stop wasting your time, NO ONE CARES.
Can I get an Amen?
AMEN!
it is a valid argument its not that he didnt make up for it
its the fact that fact that his cult seems too keep using the punchline that he's the greatest because he's undeafeted when he shouldnt be undeafeted he lost that fight bottom line
and yes he did beat castillo the second time around but his undefeated record is tainted because he lost the first time and castillo was robbed
Your acting like it was a one sided fight and a robbery... when it wasn't, Floyd took most of the first 6 rounds... all he would of needed it one or 2 of the last 6 to win it so by no means was it a robbery or was there a clear winner. It was close and could have gone either way. HBO got it wrong scoring Castillo so ahead and the judges got it wrong by scoring Mayweather so much ahead.
Floyd had a torn rotator cuff, hence why he kept changing to southpaw... this was on his left shoulder and as you can see it was a close fight and in the rematch he won decisively. This has seriously been done to death, this is seriously getting old... do you honestly think you are the first person to come up with this? This argument is boring now, its done... just let it go, you would if it was any other fighter.
I mean no disrespect but things should just be left alone for the sake of arguments.
so your telling me that in a close round you would give it too the guy that was not controlling the pace and landed the softer punches
because in both of these so called close rounds thats what happened
so we award people that run and only throw jabs and land less punches in a round the softer ones at that
like i said just because it was close doesnt mean it shouldnt have gone to castillo who did everything he should have to win
really i usually never use compubox but numbers dont lie and in a
close fight why would you award a fighter who landed the softer shots and less at that
pretty much your awarding him based off the fact the he is a slick boxer and got away from alot of castillo's punches
that statement would work if he had landed more of the punches and the more effective ones
and in the first five rounds there were a couple of rounds where you could say that he only won those rounds by a few jabs so we give him those rounds but not give rounds to castillo that he fought for and deserved thats just wrong
I am gonna be honest with you the computbox numbers shocked me, it didn't look like some of the rounds were that one sided in landings... I remember after some rounds saying "shit really?" after compubox numbers were announced, so maybe that is what shocked judges in the fight because they can't just look at the compubox numbers and score it if you get what I mean?
Listen mate, I can admit that Floyd could have been considered quite fortunate, but by no means was it a robbery... it was a close fight and it isn't reject able to say Floyd or Castillo scraped it, hell it could have even been a draw. You understand what i am saying?
okay i respct your opinion as well because you have alot of great points but with this close of a fight were you say it was that hard too tell wouldnt it be smart too use something like compu-box too help you make a decision were castillo landed more and the harder shots on that
you said i score different than you and you think that floyd landed the harder shots
i think castillo landed the harder shots and even had floyd on the run a couple of times
so with both are disagreements wouldnt you say using a tool like compu- box would help someone show who really landed more and the harder ones
or do you think compu-box numbers is wrong
and if it was so close to you than why did the judges have it ud for floyd
and there numbers were ridiculous
The compubox numbers are misleading. Fights are scored on a round by round basis.
The early rounds that Floyd won, there wasn't much action, Floyd won those rounds by only landing a couple clean punches, and clearly outboxing Castillo.
The rounds that Castillo won, were action packed rounds, where he trapped Mayweather on the ropes and wailed away with sometimes 5-10 punches at a time. The rounds Castillo won, he might of landed 30-35 punches.
The problem with compubox is that, both of those rounds are worth the same.
For example, take 3 rounds that Floyd won, and assume he landed 12 punches in each of those rounds, giving him a compubox total of 36 punches landed. Now take 2 rounds that Castillo won, and give him an average of 30 punches landed in those 2 rounds. By compubox, Castillo outlanded Mayweather 60-36, but only won 2/5 rounds.
Now you can see how compubox numbers don't always tell the full story, and how it can be at times misleading, especially in a very complex fight such as this.
It is also why fights aren't scored this way.
i just revisited this thread a few times cuz it was funny homey. Check my post history before you say shit like this bro. Pbf is far from bein my hero. The guy has nothin but haters and dickriders. This is one of the resaons why i always say cats should just not talk about him at all til he actually comes back. Can't be no discussion without cats on either side gettin their whinyass feelins hurt.
nah bro im not hurt at all just cant stand people that talk shit about how they dont care about a thread and then come on here and post like you did once again i, if it makes u feel better ill apologize for calling pbf your hero but i really dont check peoples f***ing past post im not i stalker and really dont give a shit what someone posted before
and im not hurt jus trying too here what people got too say
thats fine thats the way you feel about talking about him so if you have nothing too say why come on here, why not move on
i aint got shit against u bro but u seem too care what people think about this whole thing if u keep coming back
What's up man? Just been busy and all University and work... I see NSB gets worse each day lol.
Lmao yea, I'm in college too. Be posting on here during one of my classes, smh...lol.
post your round-by-round.
Btw, i find it humerous a fight you scored 114-112 you claim as a "robbery".
well yeah it is robbery wen the fighter that shouldve won lost regardless of how close it was
you're making it seem as if i think the fight wasn't close. The fight was extremely close. I have no problems with you thinking castillo won the fight, clearly your criteria for judging fights is slightly different than mine and a lot of peoples.

I really dont give a shit if you guys have seen this thread many of times either you agree or you disagree or dont even come on here if you dont care if you feel its waisting your time than why do you bother to write on the thread
obviouslly you guys do care
I scored the fight 114-112 Mayweather. With a good case for a draw. Castillo hit alot of arms, shoulders, chest. That's a big reason why all 3 judges gave more rounds to Floyd and why you and others believe he won in my opinion.
Also there was an incident where Castillo blatantly hits Mayweather while he has his back turned and the referee seems to forget to do anything (A foul in my eyes - maybe it should have been a point deduction for Castillo..?)
Then when you consider extra's like Floyd had a hand injury during the fight, coupled with him giving Castillo an immediate rematch and defeating him soundly, objective boxing fans don't care so much since the best fighter between the two has 2 victorys and all things considered, probably deserves both of them.
NAH FOR YOU BRO IM GONNA WATCH IT AN 8TH TIME AND SCORE IT AGAIN EVERYTIME I SCORE IT FOR CASTILLO BY 2 POINTS I DONT GO OFF OF LEDERMANS SCORE CARD ACTUALLY THERE WAS A ROUND HE GAVE TOO MAYWEATHER THAT I THOUGHT CASTILLO WON SO THERE
LOOK I KNOW YOU POST THAT FLOYDMAYWEATHER AND CASTILLO ARE ON YOUR FAV FIGHTERS LIST BUT LOOK BRO U HAVE MAYWEATHER ABOVE CASTILLO NATURUALLY THAT SHOWS ME THAT MAYWEATHER IS YOUR FAVORITE FIGHTER SO WHEN U WATCH HIM FIGHT ANYBODY YOUR GONNA GO FOR HIM.
YOUR NOT GONNA GO FOR CASTILLO OVER YOUR FAVORITE FIGHTER JUST BECAUSE YOU LIKE CASTILLO TOO.
MEANING WHEN YOU WATCHED THIS FIGHT YOU WERE BIASED YOU CAN TELL ME ANYTHING YOU WANT BUT YOU KNOW YOU WERE
EVEN WHEN I TALK TO CASTILLO FANS THEY TELL ME HE KILLED MAYWEATHER AND I HAVE TOO ARGUE WITH THEM THAT IT WAS A CLOSE FIGHT AND CASTILLO WON
OF COARSE THEY DONT GET AS MAD OR DEFENSIVE AS MAYWEATHER FANS BECAUSE I TELL THEM THERE FIGHTER DIDNT WIN
U HAVE YOUR OPINIONS AND I HAVE MINE BUT HONESTLY I HAVE NEVER SIDED WITH ANYBODY JUST BECAUSE I LIKED THEM MORE
i LIKED COTTO OVER MARGARITO AND HE DID GOOD UP UNTIL THE 6TH ROUND WERE MARGARITO CAME OUT AND STARTED TOO KILL HIM
I WAS GOING FOR MAYWEATHER OVER DLH BUT THAT FIGHT WAS CLOSE NOT BEACUSE DLH MADE IT CLOSE BUT BECAUSE FLOYD DIDNT DO MUCH
IN THE CASTILLO- FLOYD FIGHT I WAS SURE MAYWEATHER WOULD WALK THROUGH CASTILLO BUT I WAS WRONG AND HE SHOULD HAVE LOST
Post your round-by-round.
BTW, I find it humerous a fight you scored 114-112 you claim as a "robbery".
In both those rounds I mentioned, Mayweather landed the cleaner, crisper shots. A lot of Castillo's punches were landing on elbows / arms / shoulders.
Take a look at Castillo's face after the fight. His nose is bloody, and his left eye swollen, while Floyd was unmarked.
"that he fought for and deserved?" In boxing there is clear emphasis, on clean punching, in both rounds 8 and 11, Floyd landed the cleaner shots, and even harder punches. Castillo's workrate kept the rounds close, but both of those rounds could be justifiably scored for Mayweather. End of discussion.

nah he really didnt yes his face was swollen but it was floyd that looked more hurt when he got hit with castillos harder shots
your right castillo did mis alot of shots but the ones he landed looked harder and more effective
its not my fault that floyd doesnt bruise and bleed easily
and yeah his left eye was swollen because that was the only punch mayweather was really landing was the jab look at his numbers bro most of his punches were jabs
and not too mention castillo did land good body shots

The problem with Lederman scoring, was, aside from incompetence, he gave Castillo a couple "pity" rounds in the first half, because everyone expected Floyd to win comfortably.
For example, Lederman scored round 3 for Castillo... WTF?
