Floyd's main reason for always DUCKING Cotto was I DONT MAKE BUSSINESS WITH BOB ARUM and now he's obviously trying to use his name to screw Cotto's chance of reigning supreme in the P4P peak he's not fooling anybody with that "i want to fight a tuneup in hbo crap" because all he wants is to cash in on the pac-hatton winner and Cotto deserves it more than him. obviously all he's doing is picking on the easy wins ( pac-marquez at WW) and then retiring and OH not fighting Cotto. im going ( as should all boxing fans ) be pissed off if he does bussiness with Arum to fight pac at ww and totaly blow cotto off when that's the fight that all true boxing fans and the sport needs. we need to know if floyd's really an atg by beating a REAL WW. Well i agree a little..i cant sit here and(without knowing Mayweather in person) judge his financial status because of 7Mill he owes the IRS..Is Pacquiao the bigger dra right now? Absolutely not. Rematch with Ricky Hatton in Wimbledon Stadium with 100,000 Brits is way more money than Pacman and Cacoroach would bring to the table..When Hatto/Pacman looked to be completely off..Mayweather was "listening to offers" Ricky Hattons people reached out to Floyds people and Floyds people rejected..Now why in ur right minds would u turn down ricky haton(when u r floyd) and ur boxing mentality is suppobly "Low-Risk, High Reward"? why would turn down a man with so much pulling power that u already KO'd? I disaggre that Floyd is coming back for money only..when u turn down the Goldenboy rematch for about 20 mill(maybe woulda gotten more) ur def not interested in boxing anymore, ur not motivated, he wants ot comeback ecause hes motivated, if he wanted money i think he woulda been talking trash to DLH and desperately pusuing him..If Money was the case.. The thread starter is just being what he is..a little hater. make NO mistake vous i think that Floyd has ALL the tools to beat ANY welter but fact is that he takes low risk fights and doesn't put his amazing natural talent to beat the people he HAS to beat. that's going to be the difference in being top 30 ATG or NOT.

Cotto, sad to say, is on the sidelines in this argument. Maybe Floyd SHOULD have fought him. Maybe he would of beaten him, although I HIGHLY doubt it. Cotto's alure in fighting Mayweather has definitely diminished after losing badly to Margs. Now that Shane has KO'd Margs, the only legitimate fight to be made, if we're speaking of active WW's and champion status, is Shane/Floyd. Now, back to reality. Floyd is ONLY coming back for money. Period. Pacman has it, Cotto doesn't. It's as simple as that. The business end of boxing is rearing it's ugly head again and there are plenty more meaningfull fights out there for Floyds legacy, but, again, that's irrelevent in all of this. I'm not even sure, given the time that has passed and the events that have unfolded, if there is still even an interest in a Cotto/Floyd fight. Mayweather beats Cotto so if you're a fan of Cotto, this is the last fight you want to see him in. Although it would be a great oppurtunity for him. Cotto has business to take care of. Clottey,rematches with Mosley and Marg. Floyd is not going to wait a year for Cotto.
