Wouldnt Enzo feel he would be able to perform well prior to the fight? He just didnt train and take caer of himself to the fullest. Go back to the drawing boards, the cruiser weight division will be an easy one to climb back up in. No excuses.
I doubt any of the top 5 trainers would want to train him. Like Khan he has a very bad chin, but unlike Khan he doesn't have the skill and natural talent to make up for it. Macarenellie sucks period. and I honestly doubt a Roach, Mayweather, Steward, Richardson, would train him. He might be able to get Buddy McGirt.
Imagine though
And I suppose Amir Khan is a Pakistani.give yourself a clap.
personally i dont care where in the world fighters come from ... they're either good or not so good ... macca imo is not and proved that fact over the weekend.
when steve molitor canada's only homegrown worldclass fighter lost and everyone called him a bum i wasnt cryiing ... fact is he was completely exposed just like macca has been on more than one occasion. so stop being a little sensitive baby ... it has nothing to do with where they're from ... i have no nationality or race biases, but u do obviously cause ur always crying about ur brit fighters ...
I would wonder what would happen if you took Enzo to someone like Roach or Mayweather (Roger and Floyd) to train and live in the states.
Just to see the outcome and what would happen, would be interesting.
That would be a BIG job for them to rebuild his career. If Enzo wants to have another go at boxing, he needs to totally rebuild, start from scratch.
Imagine a Light-Heavyweight Enzo Maccarinelli training under Freddie Roach.
That would be a MASSIVE turn around in a career.

Think he is just trying to respect any fighter who is willing to do an interview with him.
There is the ass kissing, but he lies his ass off too, without getting into the age old calzaghe arguments, he started telling people how Jones and Hopkins didnt want it with calzaghe in their prime, whilst forgetting to mention those fights would more likely have happened if Joe was willing to go to the states and fights those guys earlier.
Next min he's sucking up to Hopkins live on air about how great he is. The way he built up the roy jones fight with Joe was a joke as well, from what I saw he consistently 'forgot' to mention jones was shot to shit and old.
And what is it with these morons saying "Kelly pavlik was the next biggest thing out of the states" I dont remember that happening.
Ive seen some of setanta's boxing coverage on youtube, and frankly its pure garbage, huge agendas going on there.
Carl Froch came on there once and wiped the floor with those cunts anyways.
I still can't get over the fact Enzo hardly did any sparring at all.
That's literally mind boggling for a pro boxer. Imagine no practicing of the actual game, in any other sport.
A footballer whom hadn't picked up a ball for months, a tennis player whom hasn't picked up a racket for a few months.
What an idiot.
Steve Bunce is a moron by the way, and very 2 faced, says one thing to fighters and then another behind their back.

Ola looked slick in there, the kind of fighter enzo would have problems with.
Enzo was winning the fight, but got hurt several times in the fight, one round he had to hold the ropes to stop himself going down.
No excuses, he got beaten by the better man on the night and got hit with a cracking shot.
without a doubt ola looked real slippery and awkward hard to land on let alone hurt .... he may have underrated power as well. but macca looked fatigued and pretty well out on his feet so ola wouldnt have needed much but he landed that solidly ... it was great imo
PS. Started watchin that video, then got sick of the excuses, fact is, a fighter like Ola would probably give him problems if they fought again, dont think Enzo realized he was up against someone who gonna be slippery, make him miss so many punches.
He got exposed on the inside as well, kept getting hit with the same right hook up close several times.
Had Ola actually put in some work rather than laying over the ropes trying to catch him he could have ended it even earlier.

ola on the other hand showed to be very awkward, slippery great chin etc ... but i couldnt really judge how good he is until i see him again ... havent seen very much of him ...

IDK about that, what would that say about OLA his opponent who everyone seemed to praise after the match even though he was clearly being outpointed and may have lost like every single round until koing Enzo?
macca was not effective in the least in that fight ... he was sloppy, inaccurate, no stamina was hoping for ola to get dq'd. just wild and totally amaturish ... he sux and i dont say that of many fighters cause i try not to be a hater. but what i;ve seen of him i've never been impressed ...

said he was tired in the first round and had his blood tested to see what's wrong.
An acute case of Can-Itis mixed with a piss poor game plan/execution. Considering where he was fighting and the fact that he was fading fast he should have boxed the last 6 rounds. He would have won by WIDE UD. Instead he continued to try blasting despite being winded.
macca fuuckkin sux period ....
