I used to be a fan of khan's since his fights were shown on tv, but when he got KTFO by Prescott, I have started to really dislike him and wanting him to lose.
Even more so after the MAB fight, where he's claiming how great his win was!
Up to the big cut , MAB was landing effective punches which were winning him the round - even rocked him once.
From the cut on, it was not a fair fight, so how am i supposed to give me credit for fighting and beating someone with ONE eye!
Now all the interviews he has are him bigging up his win and saying he's gonna win a title by the end of the year.
Of course till an interviewer asked if he would want to fight JMM, to which he pussies out and says hes not ready!]
Its weird from being such a fan of khan this time last year to now wanted him to get KTFO!
Why?
He's just beaten a legend. Of course he's going to big it up. What do you want him to say - "Yeah, I beat a shot fighter"?
You must have watched a different fight.
Why is that Khan's problem?
Of course he's not ready. Marquez is right near the top of the P4P table. Khan hasn't even established himself yet.
Yes. It is weird that you only root for fighters who never lose. Are you a ManU fan also?
Thanks for saving me time posting!
You hate Khan cause you ain't Khan and neither is your favorite boxer- Khan would probably hate you too if wanted to waste his time caring who you were in the first place.....QUIT BEING A HATER
The problem is that he will probably fight for the WBO title that JMM will vacate. he'll square up against a guy who barely scrapes into the top 20 and be victorious. If Khan then claims to be an ordinary title holder then that will be fine, but he'll proclaim himself a genuine world champion and the numpties will get sucked in and believe it.
Yada yada yaaaada.
If he wins the belt, he will be elated as anyone would be. It's a world title - he's got every right to go nuts and say he's the greatest if he wants to. It's his time, and all his hard work and dedication will have gone fulfilled regardless of who his opponent is.
However, in order to prove anything he says upon winning it, he must then face damn good opposition in defence of that title. That's the key to proving how good a boxer and champion you are. Despite his age and inexperience, I have good faith in the guy to deliver.
In hatin times, a guy can still have fans getting behind him and rooting for a good career. Fans still sticking behind cheating bastards like Margarito, on the other hand, is something I don't understand. That's well-deserved hate. All Khan has done is box, and confidently so.

I Dont see a problem with khan fighting for a vacate title, cotto fights for vacate title all the time, And if ricky hatton could call himself a genuine world champion while fighting bum on the WBU then i dont see why khan cant call himself a champion because he won it from a vacate point of view.
You guys need to give him a break. He is progressing the same if not better than hatton did after 21 bouts, and leagues faster than Joe did
That is exactly how I feel!!

I understand everything your saying and all except for the Marquez part, he didn't pussy out... just said he wasn't sure about fighting him as he doesn't think he is ready yet. That isn't pussying out, it is taking one step at a time at an early stage of his career.
Hater's mentality: If khan asks to fight a big name fighter, he is too cocky and arrogant. BUT, if Khan says he is not ready to fight a big fighter, he is a pussy.
Can't do right in the eyes of hater.

apparently being KTFO in 0.4 seconds by a complete no mark wasn't quite enough to dead the hype though
Hype, nuthugging, whatever. But if one is a supporter of a young boxer who's just trying to do his job, then a KO by a notorious banger shouldn't automatically mean "Oh fuck him, he's done! I'm supporting someone else now..."
Margarito has done something far worse and he's still got sorry people licking his crack.
i actually feel the opposite, i didnt like him but since he got humbled he has tryed to address the problem including going to live in the states to become the best. he is earning his money now, he's a dedicated fighter.
He made absolutely no reference to the cut in that post...do you think any fighter in Khan's position would have said anything different, the fact that he was not even asked about the cut or the effects of it in the post fight interview??
He didn't reference the cut, but I did, because it was related what I was to talking about in regards to what Khan should have said about the fight afterwards...
He basically said he followed his game plan, and HOPED he had shut the critics up.
And then after said "I proved everyone wrong"...and going on a news station and saying something similar "I would've knocked him out in a few more rounds", totally disregarding the cut as a factor of why he was so easily able to dominate Barerra.
The guy has been getting as much stick as he has hype since he turned pro, and your just stating the obvious!!! I feel sorry for Khan as much as I do Barrera, cos I think he got robbed out of going 12 rounds with Barrera and a more legit win.
If me saying, "The truth is that the win didn't really give him a chance to show what he was really made of, especially in terms of defense under real pressure (I refuse to give him the credit others are giving just for keeping his hands up), but that is not what is being portrayed by neither camp Khan or the Media." is stating the obvious, then why is it wrong for me to call BS when the "obvious" isn't even being portrayed?
I'm sating the obvious, because the press/Khan and fans/hype creators seem to be missing it completely.
As for what you think would have happened had the fight not been ruined with a cut, it's just that. Speculation. You don't know what would've happened and neither do I.
Do you think there is one fighter in the world, that would have said the win was due to the cut effecting there opponent in that situation? That is a retorical question by the way.
Does that make it the right thing to do then? Even when the cut blatantly was a big factor? If it WAS any other fighter, I would be calling BS the very same way.
you seem like another one of those asses who dont like a boxer simply because they have a loss.
Good guess but no, ive always been an enzo mac fan and he's lost by brutal ko a few times and hasnt changed my opinion of him.
And no, its nothing to do with his ethnicity before you start
Because you're a bandwagon fan and once he should a true weakness, you wanted him to go away. This way, his existence wouldn't remind you that you got behind a fighter that failed.
I reckon you're probably spot on with that one.
I've never been a fan of Khan, or a hater. I want him to do well cos he's exciting to watch, but I'll still laugh my ass of every time his legs go like a baby giraffes when he gets hit, and even harder the next time (no idea when, but it will happen sometime) he gets KTFO.
Because you're a bandwagon fan and once he should a true weakness, you wanted him to go away. This way, his existence wouldn't remind you that you got behind a fighter that failed.
Not really because I had seem him dropped several times to weaker opponents before.
I think its down to the overhyping by his fans/media.
Which is unfair of me to dislike him for, as its not him doing that.
But I still strongly believe his win over MAB is overhyped

I'm thoroughly happy because I enjoy the drama of the sport and don't just get up for perpetual winners. Are you a fan of Usain Bolt? I bet you are, you fairweather bastard.
You very rude for a gentleman of your mature age, i would of presumed you would have grown out of this childish way.
As much fun i assume you are getting from becoming an 'Internet Warrior' I shall have to refrain from stooping to your level.
Apologies if this angers you, calm down and count to 10 and it will all be ok :luvbed:
No Sir, you getting mouthy and trying to be big on a boxng FORUM makes you the loser, kind sir.
Wow, having a 'big man'/ patronising mentality on an internet forum surely is the lowest of all lows.
I hope you feel happier in the future :bottle:

It's because you are a pathetic fairweather shithead of a pretend fan who doesn't actually enjoy the drama of the sport, you just want to feel like a winner because you're cheering for the winning side.
That makes you a loser.
