There should be a rematch and Khan should have stated that in his post fight interview.
It was clear that Barrera couldn't see out of one eye. The fight should have been stopped in the second round when it could clearly be seen that Barrera's corner couldn't stop the bleeding as the cut was very wide and deep.
If the fight had been stopped within the first 4 rounds it would have been declared a No Contest. It's funny how the doctor left it until the 5th round before stopping it, yet he looked at the cut towards the end of the 4th. What changed within a couple of minutes doctor?? Nothing, but it enabled a win instead of the No Contest that is should have been.
Khan boxed well but there should be a rematch as Barrera was severely handicapped for virtually the whole fight.
Then again, British Ref, 2 British Judges, British doctor.. I think Khan was going to win no matter what, a KO was Barrera's only chance of victory in that fight.
I dunno, Boxing politics :Thinkingo
The later rounds would have been the interesting part of this fight but we'll never know what would have happened.
You need to have a rematch Khan, you didn't beat anyone other than a one eyed man on Saturday! that's easy for anyone to do.
The more i think about the fight, and the more i see of it again on youtube or whereever, I think there should be a mandatory rematch. It just doesn't seem like a real outcome, its like we still don't really know who really would have won that fight. I know it probably wouldn't sell well and so Frank Warren won't make it happen, but for true boxing fans this needs to be made. Khan's not fully proved himself, so the jury is still out on him and we're still none the wiser on Barrera's condition.

can defo see where your comin from. The fight was a joke and Khan thinking he has proved something is as missguided as people thinking he will actually get somewhere on the world stage.
But no rematch, as much as i think MAB deserves one i want Khan to get thrown in at the deep end D.Diaz or JMM would destroy this guy an put the hype job to rest!
Rematch? Umm, no.
I don't want to see it. I would rather see Khan fight John Murray, or D.Diaz.
I agreed with this fella.
MAB rematch won't happen, Prescott rematch will happen.
Let it go.
If Khan is looking for a rematch maybe he should be looking for a rematch with the guy who embarrassed him in 54 seconds on live television, on his first outing on PPV.
Friday, think you mean Saturday..
He won't fight Prescott again, maybe when he's beat a couple more bums here in the UK and then gets hammered in a title shot. Then he MAY fight Prescott to try and get back up the ladder. But Prescott would destroy him 10 out of 10 times and I think Khan knows that.
Of course there will not be a rematch. Did you see how happy Khan was that they stopped the fight? The way he celebrated after the doctor stopped the fight on an ACCIDENTAL head but you would think he just KO'd Marquez or something. I think he got rocked at least once and was just happy that he was fighting a handicapped Barrera and was happy to get out of the fight with a win.
Since everyone is hyping him beyond belief, I hope he challenges a current top guy. I would love to see it. I wouldnt be so hard on him if he were not so damn cocky, when he really should be humbled right now to get another shot after getting blown out by an unknown. He will probably beat a few more bums in the UK until one of the current greats gets old enough to where he can beat them.
