Just caught Carl on Bunce's Boxing Hour, and he spent most of 10 minutes talking about everyone BUT Jermain Taylor.
The first part of the interview they discussed who in the division he would like to fight AFTER Taylor, and then they talked about Calzaghe, and then finally when they asked about Taylor he addressed his next fight for all of 30 seconds before changing the subject BACK to Calzaghe. Then at the end of the interview they talked a possible future fight with Arthur Abraham.
He kept repeating things like, "Well, after I do a job on Taylor," and "The Taylor win is going to catapult me into the world spotlight."
Part of it was Bunce acting like the win was a foregone conclusion, but Froch did very little to show that his focus is on Taylor.
EDIT: Here's the video:
saw the whole segment live, not just part of it and he is confident, he should be or he shouldn't be in the fight game, but he did say it would be a tough fight agaisnt taylor twice.
Some bitter people just like making shit up just to get the boy hate for own personal pleasure, get a life.
C'mon man; I was giving Carl the benefit of the doubt at first because he was basically lured into talking about Calzaghe, but then when they finally asked him about Taylor he changed the subject back to Calzaghe all by himself, just to ask Bunce who he would favor in a fight between him and Joe. It was pathetic looking, like a kid asking his mom who she loved more, him or his brother.
The man is obsessed, there is no denying it. Taylor should fly Joe to the fight and get him a ringside seat; Froch would be so distracted JT would KO him in the first minute.

massively.
Carl, JOE IS RETIRED.
I do like CF tho, he's ballsy and a great fighter to watch. Sticks his chin out too much, but hey, it's all good fun.
I think the fight with JT will be a cracker, think Carl will win too. In fact i think he'll smash him up. We'll see.
IMO Hopkins is the fight he should go for (at a catch weight if not 168, Carl's not interested in 175), if he cant fight Joe then at least fight Hopkins and do what Joe didnt even come close to doing....knock him out.
That'll set tongues wagging
LOL. As if 'Nard would gain anything or even consider fighting Froch.
Froch KO Hopkins? Am I hallucinating here or what?

I respect Froch coz he's willing to fight anyone but sometimes he gets delusional. He can't even see that Taylor fought everyone already, he keeps mentioning Calzaghe.
Froch doesn't seem to see Taylor as much of a threat, that could be dangerous
No telling how many times he's blown his load watching the Pavlik KO in slow-mo... he probably ffwds it to that part like a kid watching a porno.

Carl Froch told Steve Bunce's Boxing Hour that if Joe Calzaghe comes out of retirement he is his only credible opponent.
Golden Boy CEO Richard Schaefer said last week he wanted to persuade Calzaghe to fight Bernard Hopkins in Wales but the Pride of Wales said he had no interest in meeting The Executioner again.
Froch believes his profile in the United States will be boosted sufficiently by beating Jermain Taylor on April 25 that a fight between Calzaghe would then be a big occasion on both sides of the Atlantic.
"The Taylor fight will set me up as a superstar in the States," Froch said on Setanta Sports News.
"I was prepared to give up home advantage and travel over to Conneticut.
"I know they're going to take to me with my style.
" still a big name but whenever anyone gets beat it takes the shine off them, but he's still a marquee fighter and beating him will launch me to the next level.
"I'll go for a minimum of three weeks before the fight. That's enough time to get the flight out of my system."
Conversations inevitably turned to Calzaghe and Froch said he does not regret harsh words he had about the Welshman when he announced his exit from the ring.
"He's retired - he's done the right thing," Froch said. "I hear he's talking about coming out of retirement and if he does the only man who he could fight is me, especially after I beat Jermain Taylor.
"I dont regret anything I've said. everything I said about Calzaghe I standby."
Froch also spoke about Arthur Abraham, who fights live on Setanta on Saturday night, and admitted he is an opponent he would love to share the ring with.
"Very tough, strong middleweight, he's a big name and a good fighter," Froch added. "There's talk of him moving up to super middleweight. If he does I'd like any of those big names.

lol at Froch KO'ing Hopkins. If Pavlik could barely land a clean shot, what makes you think Froch could? Either way Hopkins won't get a chance to fight Froch though because Taylor will take care of him.
