Why do the majority of you dislike Cotto stans???

Whats the difference between a "stans" nuthugger or fanboy? Seriously. Nothing really! In my opinion stans are more like nuthuggers, and fanboys are like little girls that buy posters of there favorite pop group. Stans = are fans that love to swing on their favorite boxers nuts. REALLY GAY! Fanboys = like their boxer to a point. Gay but not as bad as a stan.

Floyd Jr.'s Stans are just a bunch of whining pussies with victim-complexes. There aren't as many of them as you might think, though, as many have been parody alts. Margarito's Stans are frequently (unwittingly) hilarious. Manny Pac's Stans are mostly retards who think Manny is Bruce Lee in Enter The Dragon. Everytime I watch Manny I hear Lalo Schifrin in my head because of their bullshit. Cotto's Stans take the cake by dint of being insanely belligerent and pious, great in number, and having zero comic value (inadvertent or intentional) for the most part. I forgot the JC Stans. The only group, for me, to rival Cotto's for sheer fuckheadedness. But my resentment for them is 50% bound up in personal reasons. Lol @ Many is Bruce Lee in Enter the Dragon. Couldn't agree more!

Well before the Mosley Fight. Cotto fans(not all) were dogging on Margarito, that he was a bum & no skills(but yet beat Cotto), and discredit his resume. Margarito never got the respect even after fighting Paul Williams, Clottey, and Cotto. Some of the most feared guys in the sport. And yet when Cotto announce he will fight Clottey, stans go crazy over it. Also when DLH decided to fight Manny, all shit talking. I didn't like it, but what was done is done. NOW that Cotto might fightPac in the future, its ok?? Fuck that. I agree with most of your points, but then again things have changed due to a few circumstances that have occured. For instance, that Margarito used plaster like substance in his handwraps, and that DLH actually lost to Pac. I know it may sound messed up, but Pac is considered the one to beat since he whooped DLH.

I'm asking cause since I joined all I see is "I like Cotto, but I dislike his stans?" or "Cotto's stans are what make me dislike the guy". I'm saying... Why are Cotto's fans any different then any other fan out there? I mean there are still people that support Margacheato. A man that could have severly hurt someone in the ring for Christ sake. I just don't get it! It's not just mexicans that dont understand PR peopls its black and whites as well. Black people condider Trindad or Roberto Clemente a non black becouse they speaks spanish but will be quick to call Bob Marley black becouse they love his music. PR and Jamaica are both in the West indies the last time I checked. White PR or Cubans get the Shaft from white people but if you Italain American or Jewish you get the "White Pass " laminated. Hatie and Domican Republic is on the same Island and you see people call hatians black and Domicans Hispanic. Hello.... Same Island. People are so ignorant... That it's just plain sad. Christ, his Stans are some of the most unreasonable, froth-mouthed, cheerleading crumbums on the site when it comes to the object of their affection. They mistake their own abject stupidity for 'pride'. They're not proud. The sheer number of them is a factor. BMWM3P, PavlikRules, baya...just a sampling, there are tons more...some distinctive, some interchangeable, all idiots. Who could forget the one spaz who spammed the forum with photoshop threads in the months prior to Margarito-Cotto? (though, at least that displayed some creativity...more than can be said for most of 'em) And that humongous idiot with the iPhone? Don't leave him out. Wow that was harsh! I undertand that there might be a few fans of his that are just swinging on his *you know what*, but what is the difference when someone defends Mayweather, Marg or any other boxer?

I don't know the answer. Personally, the fans of a fighter don't influence my opinion of that fighter at all, I can make up my own mind whether or not I like him. What some random, unknown guy on a forum says is irrelevant. I think the "I don't like this guy because of his fans" thing is just a totally piss-poor excuse. Stans suck. Nuthugers and haters suck. The respectable posters on these forums happen to be the most balanced ones. Nothing wrong with being a keen supporter of any fighter, but people should be honest enough to acknowledge his flaws. Quality post! I agree that all stans kind of suck.

the worst thing about cotto stans is that tito is clearly a black man, but they dont say he's black. they confuse nationality with ethnicity. I always called him a black Puertorican. He is Puertorican though...ask anyone on my mothers side of my family what are they considered...black or Puertorican? The answer would be boricua.

I am not a fanboy of Cotto, but I like him, and think he is very underrated. The truth is fanboys of rival fighters get on each others nerves, cause neither of them call it down the line.
