Shouldn't he beat someone... ANYONE... in the top 20 first?
Green's got a new interview up on boxing talk dot com, spouting off about how he only wants a title fight from here on out, accusing Taylor of being a coward, etc... here are a few highlights:
I was very dissapointed that I didn't get the chance to fight Jermain Taylor, because I was most definitely going to end it for him. They wouldn't have been able to resurrect him after I got done with him. It's nothing personal, but I don't see him as a real fighter.
I don't want to waste my time on any kind of prospect, or prospect who originally were contender. I'm not trying to waste my time with that. I want a title fight. You've got Lucian Bute, Mikkel Kessler, or winner of Jermain's fight. That's who I want. If Froch wins, I respect Froch, and I like him as a fighter. He may fight me, but if Taylor wins, I think he'll do everything in his power to avoid fighting me. He was approached by a friend of mine about fighting me, and he made excuses. The excuse people always use, the money, the money. There's no money in fighting me. At the end of the day, he just doesn't want to get his ass whooped.
-Allan Green
I think he's one of the most delusional fighters out there at the moment.
It's a pity really; I think if he was handled properly, and trained properly, he could be a force in the SMW division. But he's got some terrible habits in the ring, has made mistakes against weak opposition, and worst of all, he severely overestimates his own importance. In the past year he's dissed ESPN and priced himself out of a Pavlik fight. Stupid, stupid, stupid.
Except Green's attitude has the tendency to screw himself OUT of opportunities, like the ESPN gig and a title shot at Pavlik.
Touché!
Attitude is a big part indeed. I love Miranda for instance. He's funny.
Nothing wrong with trying to talk your way into a titleshot. Happens all the time. Sometimes it works (for example Clay and Haye).

i hate fighters like green who could secure a fight with some good fighters like jean pascal, bika, lacy, manfredo, andrade or miranda again but he will most likely price himself out of those fights.
hes got goo potential though and if he brings his A game he does whip everyones ass, except kess of course.
Didn't this guy lose to the panther! A guy who has been KTFO in his last 2 major bouts? I'm about to go over the GI system this month so I will see how much of an excuse the stomach thing was in that fight! Green, beat somebody 1st, then call out the title holders! Until then please stop making yourself look like an ass!
allan green is a jerk off. remember when he no showed for a friday night fights match
He is a clown. He said that he was to good to fight on ESPN. he said world class fighters dont fight on ESPN. If Zab Judah, Glen Johnson, and Sam Peters can go back to fighting on ESPN, what makes him think he is to good for Friday Night Fights.

he made the comments about not wanting to fight any prospects because he knows ANDRE DIRRELL and ANDRE WARD is on his A$$.

Who will Green actually be willing to fight? Hard to imagine him showing up for the fight and harder to imagine him not spazzing. He would never fight a Froch.
