I really am, he came out flat the first round and a half or so that was fought and he pussied out with his cut and didnt want to fight.
I assume fighting with a cut is tough but that guy made a cowardly move in my eyes by quitting. This kid Yordan was roughing him up and Guerrero took the easy way out.
I was already on the cusp of not rooting for Guerrero, but now i hope Humberto Soto knocks him out.
yordan was landing punches coming in, its up to guerraro to catch him coming in.
He was excessively holding, he was going to start losing points if he continued and since that looked to be his only option him getting DQ'd eventually was also a possibility. He was not landing that many punches either, he was throwing 1-2 combination as he lunged in maybe landing 1 punch but often not landing at all.
He is lucky the fight ended this way. I could careless about this fight not going any longer, the sooner it ended the better.
I guess, but HBO also loves boxing matches and not greco-roman wrestling contests. It was hard to tell the difference in this fight.

he should atleast make the effort to go out there one more round... hbo loves blood n guts. he mustve forgot to read the memo.

That cout could easily get worse though, it could keep him on the shelf a long time as it is why make it worse. The fight was sloppy and akward who is to say the heads do not clash again (especially with Yordan's lunging and grappling style)

i agree, he had 1 more round before he could've bailed. he shouldve fought on.

I do reckon that it was a nasty cut, but he could of atleast finish the round, and fight the 3rd to see whats what. He had till the 4th to the fight been dclare a NO Contest.
I mean even the doctor, looked at his with a WTF? look!!!!!!!!!!

I was thinking the same thing about continuing through the round.
It was a bad cut, right above the eye against an undefeated fighter with good power. Robert's probably never been cut and it was too early in the fight to try to fight through. The cut was caused by a butt and was more than likely gonna cause real problems during the fight, not to mention how it may have affected him in the long term. It was too early in the fight to be handed that type of disadvantage. Initially, I was thinking, "damn, he should have fought through it", but now, thinking about it from the fighter's point of view, I can understand his decision.
The fight was awful anyways, why does anyone even care that it did not continue. That could have been one of the worst fights ever seen on HBO if it was allowed to play out.
That shit was borderline unwatchable, I am glad the Ghost gave up on that fight, it saved me from having to sit through that atrosious fight.
Yordan is ok if you like the way Hatton fights, but being able to land maybe one punch as he lunged in to grapple is not being a real good boxer, I am sorry.
Thanks Ghost!
Soto and him would make for a good action fight.
That kid he fougth was very slick and seemed pretty talented. Not a good style for Guerrero. I get the feeling that he realized things werent gonna end well for him, so he bailed at the first chance.
