Why do people act like fights dont need to happens because they believe fighter A would beat fighter B? even though!! they have never seen them fight. If they are so good at predicting the winner of a fights, then how come they did'nt put money on Forrest to beat Mosley? etc etc.
Facts are you dont know what is going to happen untill they get in the ring. Granted there are times when you can say be realistic and say this guy will not beat that guy because he is a c class fighter, but when you are talking about two elite fighters, its much harder to predict the outcome and people who dismiss their chances are crazy. Bordering on stupid.
Calzaghe won 46 (KO 32) + lost 0 (KO 0) + drawn 0 = 46
Calzaghe is not as great as Mayweather
That would be the equivalent of me saying Floyd is as great as Danny Williams
Exactly right. Some people are just so distraught about seeing an outspoken, truth-telling black man dominate that they have to desperately cling to a hope that maybe just maybe if he keeps fighting he'll get unlucky and lose to someone, like that'll prove anything. It's obvious what's really going on in their minds.
Floyd already proved his greatness. He gave his haters 39 chances to see him lose and they failed 39 times. He ain't obligated to give them any more chances unless he wants to, don't matter what his haters say.
Yeah that is me in a nutshell. The fact that he is black is what REALLY drives my agenda :lol1:
Like its only white people that criticize him .
The truth and it's so in your face is people just want to see Floyd Mayweather Jr. lose. Simple as that. Next they will say it's only fair if Floyd fights Middleweights with loaded gloves. Manny, Floyd, Hatton and Marquez are all within one inch of each other, have identical body structures but if you never seen any of them you are led to believe listening to some idiots here, that Mayweather is a Jr Middleweight cutting down to fight smaller guys when in fact he's a natural 135 pounder who happens to have enough class to go all the way to 154 and beat the champion there. That extra class is just a bonus, a nice bonus for him, it doesn't mean he should be fighting welterweights all the time. Specially with the weight on his shoulders of being the first black fighter to ever retired undefeated (something only aloud to whites up until now) and the best and most accomplished fighter to ever retire undefeated. If he goes in there too old, injured (he has bad shoulders, back and hands now) and he loses he'll lose a bit of the aura around him. Don't be fooled, once Floyd's 0 goes he'll have as much trouble as Williams or Clottey finding fights, you need to be a fool or newly born to not see that.

I totally agree with the OP.
Most people on this board are just... whats the word??... FOOLS.
Writing off this fighter and that fighter before the fights even happened. Nothing is EVER certain in the ring.

you make a good point, but in no universe should jmm fight pbf unless as a tune up for a fight against cotto or mosley, or unless jmm has proven himself at or around 147 against a legtimate contender.

Explain this please.
something only aloud to whites up until now
And the morale of your little story is what?
News flash Leonard and Duran were supposed to get destroyed against Hagler. Duran lost a SD. Leonard beat his ass. Yet Hagler had been in their with Tony Sibson a guy who looked more like a CW than a MW and Sibson couldn't even make it to the last round like the much smaller Duran. As a matter of fact Hagler fought a lot of guys that were probably natural 175lbs and none them came close to beating him like Duran did.
BTW Duran fought a prime Hagler, Mugabi did not.
Skills are overlooked way too much in favour of size.

I take it this is about Mayweather v Marquez. And all I'm going to say is you must really hate Marquez to want to see him in this fight. Mayweather is more skilled and bigger, so do the math. If Marquez had trouble with Casamayor, you really think he is going to last long against Mayweather?
Mayweather had trouble with Castillo and an out of prime DLH. Also Castillo did not beat Casamayor imo. You are the typical of the kind of person im talking about.

no, he's talking about Mayweather vs. anyone 147 to 154.
