Hi everyone,
I am going to an 'evening with calzaghe & family' tonight.
The VIP ticketholders are allowed to ask Joe 1 question each..
Any suggestions?
p.s please dont bother with the hate comments - just some interesting questions please.
Ask Joe what he feels about how he's viewed in the boxing community and how he feels about already being forgotten in comparison to other retired fighters
A shed load of hate threads out there by idiots with no respect for the sport. The maker of this thread asked people not to bother with hater comments, and the assholes still ignore it.F.ucking sad cases.
Mate you need to put your Bias aside and accept the fact nobody is going to take Joe serious. His Who career has massive holes in it, and has never proven himself, and wasted his talent.
I'm from the UK mate, but it's pointless to look at "Nationality". The guy is a mediocre fighter that fought only if he had the advantage.

True, this is a serious post for boxing fans. maybe he should added no infants allowed to the title.
ask him what he does to his left wrist. it is notoriously sore all teh time for him he has chronic injuries,,,, ask him what he does to strengthen it, what pain medicine he takes?
or.... ask him what SUPPLEMENTS he has taken before fights.
How about if he has any regrets about not fighting in America sooner
or
If there is any fighters out there that he would have liked to have faced but didnt get the chance for one reason or another
or
What is his opinion of Steve Collins refusing to face him.
How many master boxers have you seen being dropped on the first round of two consecutive fights by opponents old enough to sum 83 years (evenly!)? Just one, your idol... Guess that's why he's so special hehe[/QUOTE
Calzaghe isn't even in my top 15 favorite boxers. You wouldn't look so stupid if you didn't assume shit. I'm big enough to respect his game because he earned it. Bernard is on of my favorite fighters and I could tell calz gave him all he could handle. Respect due. Remember joe was 36. You are disrespecting Bernard bysaying that kinda shit

Yes for about "two days" i did. Then it came Branko, Ferreyra, Reid, yes the same Reid who gave Calzaghe hell, but failed to win any title fight for the ABC orgs to that point and since... (reminder: most fighters who are called B line fighters here have at least held a recognizable belt once). And it's not like he was the first or second to beat Eubanks. Eubanks was a great british fighter but he was very faded and took the fight on short notice. Although it's fairly hard to have someone without an * in your record great fighters tend to have at least a couple proved and good opponents. Ok, so only a few in boxing's history can say they fought proved prime opponents who they beat, but that's why only a few should be called great.
I only asked if you knew he was. I didn't ask for a lecture.

I don't care how much you hate calzaghe, he is a master boxer. anyone that can hang with bernard is a master boxer.
ask b mitchell or lacy if he can punch, or ask roy jones' face

You must be fairly new to boxing, right?
Be honest: you didn't know who he was back in 1997 after he beat Eubank?

Sorry, typo - its tomorrow i'm going.
Its in the Uni in Wrexham, North Wales..
Where is he tonight?
p.s keep 'em coming!:boxing:
Apparently he's at that hotel tonight.
Feel sorry? Are you serious? I mean almost everyone of JC fans have either British/Britain or Joe in their nicknames, whereas reasonable people have various nicknames... That alone is an indicator. Would you trust someone named Joe to a good analysis of JC? No, obviously. Even Tunney isn't all crazy about Joe and you know Tunney's favorite color. The guy isn't all that good. He's certainly and without a doubt the most overrated fighter of the decade.
Even though britishfan laughed at this post. It's actually very good and reasonable for the most part.
Seriously, ask him why it took him 10 years to unify the Super Middleweight division and also ask him why he did'nt move to Light Heavy earlier.
This is a serious question; i'm not hateing.
