He was offbalance most of the first half of the fight. in facts i counted how many times Floyd almost fell, and it was like 8 times!!!!!! I do agree that he have improved a lot, his right kook is better and his foot work is much better. But Hattons foot work is better, we was making FLoyd look retarded evertime he pressure, Floyd. He is faster on his feet than pacquaio by far It's hard to even read that when there's 3 asses in my face! :lol1: Major distraction. But in a nice way. I completely disagree with the bold red part though. I think you should try to take into account that Pacquiao has shown a lot of improvement in his last couple of fights. His right hand is great, and his mobility is pretty awesome too. Big improvement since JMM II. Those Marquez fights forced Pacquiao to really improve in certain areas. Marquez is the best thing that happened to him, IMO. Did you watch the Diaz fight? I haven't ever seen hm use the right hand so effectively. He also used it to good effect against Oscar. Cortez wasn't giving them anytime to do any work he was jumping in and splitting them at the soonest opportunity, he also let Mayweather get away with elbows and ducking below the waist. It was a bad reffing (or biased reffing) IMO. The result of the fight probably wouldn't have changed but he ruined any chance Hatton had. Mayweather didn't fight the cleanest fight, however Hatton has a tendancy to hold. I once read somewhere that a good ref, knows how a fighter fights his whole career, not just on that night. If Hatton holds on a regular basis and does it to tire the guy out, then Cortez has the right to assume that all of a sudden, Hatton isn't going to land a 58 punch combo to the stomach. Nothing in his career would make one assume that. Usually when he worked on the inside to begin with, he worked his way in AND THEN got other things going. In the Mayweather fight, he leaped in, usually without punching and then held, trying to jocky for position. That's not effective. He had the right to break them up.

Hatton goes all out right from the start. Pac is able to land enuf shots to knock some respect into him by the 4th. Pac now has the distance he wants cuz Hatton ain't as eager to keep rushin in, and starts to put a whoopin on him. Hatton don't go easy, but gets busted up and stopped before the 11th.

Here's the difference. When you are on the inside, that's fine. Hatton got in on the inside against Castillo, who allowed it to hapen by not fighting it off, or holding. So Hatton was allowed to work. He was working, so the ref had no reason to break them up. Against Mayweather, when Hatton tried to maul his way in, Mayweather held, he created seperation with his elbows and hit and then got away or just held til the referee seperated the two. If the ref sees you working on the inside, like Hatton was in the Castillo fight, he'll allow it. If he's not getting anything done, like in the Mayweather fight, he's forced to break it. That's all there is to that one.
