Why are some of the elite welters targetting Hatton?

Id like to see Hatton and Cotto fight. Cotto would be the favourite but Hatton would make Cotto fight a really hard, bloody fight. See i think Cotto would be too powerful for Hatton. You saw what Cotto did to Margarito for most of their fight. It would be like that except Hatton would go down when he got hit hard by Cotto.

Don't they realise Hatton is not a Welterweight and will just get owned by all of them. This means they will be getting no credit for the win and render fighting Hatton completely pointless. I've heard talks of Cotto and Mosley both contemplating a Hatton fight in the future. Hatton is useless at Welterweight, and in my opinion, the only reason why he hasn't been beaten at 140 is because 140 has no talent, apart from maybe Timothy Bradley who is too green for Hatton. The only reason they want the fight is for the money, which is stupid because there are good competative fights at Welterweight to be made which would boost their legacys a lot more, get them sufficient money and give the fans what they want. Mosley, Cotto, Clottey and maybe Berto can all fight each other, there could be some FOTY candidates in there. I agree, cotto needs to stop pussying about and fight mosley already

yep..honestly you cant dislike hatton..he has balls and a great personality..he may be limited but shit..he tries He seems to get a fair bit of hate around this forum. Guess where there's success there is hate.

I like Hatton, every boxer says they'll fight anyone, anywhere. Hatton is one of the very few who actually do it. He'd have no problem fighting Cotto. And by that I mean he'd fight him with no hestitation - he'd have plenty of problems in the ring! Hope he finds a way to beat Pac. I'd love to see JMM v Hatton

It doesn't matter if Hatton is game, a lot of fighters think they are the dogs bollocks but the fans generally have a better idea of who will win. Hatton might just be in it for the money too.

He won a controversial decision against Collazo and was outclassed by Mayweather. I think Cotto and Mosley are too strong for him, he could maybe keep it competitive, but I see both guys knocking him out. Especially a body shot from Cotto or a left hook from Mosley.

It just annoys me when Welter has some great matches to be made and they just get ignored so we can see someone take a beating just so a fighter can make a bit of cash. People like Clottey have been waiting for the big fights their whole career and now is the time to make it happen.
