Which was better - Marquez vs Diaz or Margarito vs Cotto?

nothing is better than a mexican beating a puerto rican at a world championship so i pick tony vs. cotto

I'll have to say Marquez vs Diaz it was more of an allout fast paced brawl with both exchanging punches, both were hurt and it had a fantastic ending. To tell you the truth I don't know at 35 if Marquez could keep up with these type of battles. Cotto vs Margarito was good, but it wasn't as fast paced and Cotto boxed more than staying and trading with Margarito.

I finally voted, and I ended up voting for Margarito vs Cotto for the following reasons. They were larger men and both were big punchers. There was plenty of pre-fight hype and the fight lived up to it all. The Puerto Rican vs Mexican rivalry. Cotto was undefeated and I believe he was the favorite. The fight was just brutal; Even though Tony won, Cotto may have inflicted more long term damage on Tony than Tony did to him. However, in terms of the fight and only the fight, JMM and Diaz was probably better if that makes any sense.

I'd say Marquez/Diaz was better. More punches, faster paced, beautiful KO, crazy exchanges early on, both guys hurt. That fight had everything.

I liked the back and forth action in Marquez-Diaz better!..It had me on my feet the ENTIRE TIME!.. plus Cotto lost..so I picked Marquez-Diaz!..haha!

Diaz vs Marquez was an all-out war I came home with my voice gone because of all the screaming at the toyota center. Every round was action packed! well of course, you went to the fight!!!

Margarito vs Cotto cause well im biased haha. but for how long the diaz vs marquez lasted it still ranks right up there cause of the fast paced non stop action!

They were both great fights,but the handwraps seriously tainted that fight,plus the JD-JMM,fight was on hbo,not ppv,so as far as quality v.s. price Id give the edge to JD-JMM!!!

Cotto-Margarito by far, but Marquez-Diaz was still very good.

I'll say Marquez-Diaz but that could just be because the fight is fresh in my mind, what a fight it was though.

Both where great fight and both had me jumping off my seat and screaming but last night it was action packed fight while cotto and margarito was pure punishment on both opponents

marquez-diaz baby..but still the fight between mosley and marga is my second. we have a nice boxing fights this year.

Both were great fights, so I'd take Cotto-Marg just cuz it lasted longer.

margarito-cotto was the best fight, but both were very good. the margarito-cotto fight was more anticipated, the build-up, the hype, the mexican-pr rivalry.....all that shit made for not only a great fight, but a great "event." margarito-cotto were also bigger names. diaz-marquez was a great fight also tho. Marques-Diaz for me as Marquez was a smaller guy moving up in weight to challenge a prime #1 contender

Margarito - Cotto was an absolute classic such a shame the plaster thing has tainted it so much if it werent for the wraps scadal i prob woulda chosen margo/cotto...

Both were great. I'm going with Cotto-Margarito because he punches seemed more brutal. Plus, my favorite fighter at the time won and my favorite fighter now lost.
