MArquez moved up to lightweight to chase pacman who had moved up to fight diaz and then Oscar at welter.. and now marquez fought and defeated the top 2 lightweights, won the lineal championship and basically unified the division.. he is also willing to move up to fight manny at a higher weight.. their 2 fights were very close contested and heavily disputed fights.. some believe marquez won both fights, some believe the pacman won.. is Manny obligated to fight Marquez again? what do you guys think?
seriously it depends on who is willing to give pac the most money and who is being the most difficult to negotiate with.
if marquez willing let pac have the lion's share and is easier to negotiate with than mosley or cotto, then marquez will get to fight pac. personally, i think pac might be willing to let pbf get away with some stuff, but floyd aint coming back.
arum will probably screw jmm out of a fight and try and get pac to fight cotto though.
Pacquiao doesn't have to do anything. Do I want to see a trilogy against Marquez, you bet your ass. I don't know if it will happen or not but regardless, Pacquiao doesn't have to face Marquez a third time if he doesn't want too, though I really hope he does. I could watch those two fight constantly.
He don't have to, but it seems like a fight that makes sense. Cotto and SSM wantin him at WW is gonna **** it up tho. He'll go chasin one of those guys he has no chance of beatin and get KTFO.
The f*ck difference how long its been? Marquez has FILLED OUT for 135. He can pop at 135 now, and you got the nerve to call me a moron lol????
because you said "TECHNICALLY THIS FIGHT SHOULD HAVE HAPPENED ALREADY"
it hasn't been a year since the last fight! how often does a rematch happen right away?
he hasn't filled out at 135 btw. juanma is good but he is not a 135 fighter. manny fills out better than him when he puts on weight. juanma would be at a big disadvantage at 140.
As I like to watch Pac fights, sure I would'nt mind it. But just because Mexicans think JMM won the first two fights, doesn't mean the majority of ppl don't know Pac beat Marquez 2 times already (can't help it they had an incompitent judge the first time around). Really don't see the need for Pac to beat JMM again, but I'll definetly watch it!
You assume that only people of mexican decent think that MArquez beat Pacman twice.. that's untrue.. im not mexican, and i believe Marquez outboxed and beat Pacman in both fights. Im sure there's others that feel the same way and vice versa.. there's unbiased filipinos that may believe Marquez beat Pacman twice, and there's unbiased mexicans that may believe Pacman beat Marquez twice
Assuming Pac only has 2 fights left after Ricky, here's my theory of what will happen.
If Pac wins against Ricky:
1. Fight PBF if PBF unretires and will negotiate the purse fairly. Both legendary fighters, former #1 p4p versus current, less risk high reward for PBF.
2. Fight Cotto.
3. Fight Mosley.
Fights above will be at a catch weight between 140-145 since Pac is naturally smaller than the three. No way Pac will fight above 147.
4. Fight JMM at 140.
If Pac losses against Ricky:
a. Fight JMM if JMM accepts, most likely he will take over the top p4p spot and will look for big money fights. Just like what Pac is doing now.
b. Fight other 140 lbers, or Cotto or Mosley if they're willing.
c. Retire and be a politician.

If Pacqiuao doesn't fight JMM again, he'll still have a strong legacy, but it'll always be a "But he never fought JMM again" type of deal with historians. JMM banged with Pac twice, proved he's the only one that can go toe to toe with him, he deserves to fight Pac again.
I dont think not fighting JMM again would be that big a deal especially since pac is fighting guys like dlh, hatton and maybe pbf.

He doesn't have to but I would sure want him to....
I'd like him to, but it would make things awkward if Marquez won. They'd be 1-1-1. What are they going to do then, fight for a fourth time?
then it would be all even i wouldnt mind that...
Win lose or draw his next fight has to be the trilogy. #1 vs. #2.
Mayweather won't fight Pacquiao
depends if cotto or mosley are willing to come down to 143 lbs.
it would be a very good fight id love to see it, wasnt the winner of this supposed to face the winner of MAB v khan for the WBO, i no wat your all gona say. If MAB wins he is back in the mix for a world title weather its JMM or some one else, could even get another shot at Pac, MAB is far from over.
mab should get a rematch against jmm... that was a close fight imho

Marquez should be in Pacquiao's position right now.. he got robbed though and as a result Manny is now benefiting from the fame.
It's whatever though, in my heart and mind, I will always know that Marquez was the better fighter then Pacman.
