Anybody with any kind of boxing sense knows that John controlled that whole fight except for maybe the last two rounds. Juarez's face says it all. Chris John had a little cut and that was about it. John landed over 100 more punches than Rocky.
Fight wasn't even close, john schooled rocky and was robbed by the decision.
Show me the 9 or 10 rounds he clearly won~ for this to be called a robbery.
I can make a case for Jaurez to win 4,5,6 or 7 rounds if you want.
1,2,9,11,12 with 4,7,8 all being competitive.
Lucky for Chris John, He came to America after remark an impressive record, otherwise the judges even will give him a lost decision LOL.
This is why Steven Luevano don't want to fight Rocky Juarez in Houston, probably no more boxer want to fight there either.
The JMM CJ fight was much much closer than Juarez vs John.
It was about the same to me, but JMM lost points from the ref decisions so John won. Whether you agree with the deductions or not the judges have to abide by them.
Funny thing is that CJ really did beat JMM
Considering the points that got deducted from JMM, it would have been very hard to score that fight for anyone other then John.
There was no robbery at all, it was a pretty close fight. John did not dominate, so therefore there was no robbery.
1,2,9,11,12 all could easily be scored for Jaurez and 4,7,8 were competitve depending on what you like.
Saying John won is fine, but to be a robbery you need to win 9 or 10 rounds clearly John did not do that. He won 8 tops and some of those rounds were close.
A draw was well withing the realm of possibility for scoring. Looking back he was pretty lucky to not get a point taken away by the ref because he could have instead of slapping his hand away.
Rocky did the MORE EFFECTIVE punching... he cut the ring off... he noticeably hurt John throughout the fight.....
John landed nothing hard...... Alot of jabs and pitty patts....
It looked like John was pretty effective by looking at Juarez's face after the fight. Juarez was getting hit and not returning, kind of hard to win a fight when your getting hit with 4+ punches in a row then only throwing one in return.
I wouldnt say clearly..... Look at my response above and thats why I dont think it was CLEAR....
John was holding and pitty pat.... Rocky were way harder and stronger...
I do not know where your seats were, but Juarez' face proved they were not soft punches. Rocky was a walking ambulance and John looked like he just woke up. It was pathetic. I had him win 8 rounds, if not 9.
And since when was Marquez robbed vs John?? I thought John won that fight. It was very close.
john was pretty clearly robbed last nite ... i had it 8rds to 4 ...
i didnt like the reffing either ... but johns camp seemed like pure class and made no mention of it ...
john vs. jmm there was no robbery that fight was real close ....
Rocky did the MORE EFFECTIVE punching... he cut the ring off... he noticeably hurt John throughout the fight.....

When your outnumbered 10 to 1 chances are your wrong.
John was doing very nice work on the inside that would maybe be hard to see outside. He provided very nice angles.
The ref in that fight was terrible though. Not really in bias, but he would always slap the hand down and pull them apart and the fighter getting pulled (normally John) would have the other person (normally juarez) throw a punch on the break. It was terrible reffering.
Not terrible reffing. John holds behind the head, the ref pulls his glove off. It wasn't a break, it was the alternative to deducting points for holding. Its the same thing they were doing to Ali in the THRILLA in MANILA.
If anything I would have liked to see some points deducted because of how ofter John was holding behind the head.
Yeah, but being there you could really hear and feel the punches that Rocky waslanding... I could see why the judges would be inclined to give a round to Juarez....
He had a puffed up bruised left eye I think... But there were some headbutts along the way that they showed replays of during the rounds....
Errrr.. Scoring a fight base on the sound of the punches is not right imo... Even when john looked horrible in the last two rounds cant make you win the whole fight... A good measure would be a knockdown which didnt happen or being wobbled, which didnt happened...
We get every angle of the fight on T.V... Chris John won that fight... Juarez threw harder more noticeable punches but Chris john's shots were also clearly affecting Juarez and busting up his face..Hid punches may have not shown as effective live as they did on tv,
I have already said I have no beef with John winning. Jaurez face was pretty marked up, but to me it was John who looked worse for ware at the end of the fight if the fight went on longer it would have been curtains for John (imo).
I thought it was a close competitive fight that could have gone either way depending on if you liked John's bunches of punches or Jaurez's higher quality shots that were fewer and far between.
I favored Jaurez in rounds 1,2,9,11,12 and round 4 7,8 were all fairly close depending on what you prefer.
To be called a robbery to me you have to win 9 or 10 rounds clearly, John did not do that in my eyes. Like I said it was a close fight in my eyes and a draw was fair, but I have no problem with you saying you think John won.
Punchstat numbers are not how you score a fight. They should be disregarded.
Also scoring on tv and live at the arena are vastly different. HTOWN was there live~.
