How come Paul Williams is rank higher than Miguel Cotto

Hate It is always the same never give credit to who deserves it and less if it is a Puerto Rican fighter as did Trinidad never got the credit but that's nothing for the connoisseur knows Cotto boxing is much better than Williams and more mooooore exciting

How so? Winky is as inactive as they come. Its not as if he's on a hot win streak or something. deevel you're right but I think that while the rust may affect him, it's not that big of a deal for a fighter of Winky's stature, age and experience to take an extended vacay. They almost all do, Hopkins for instance. Speaking of Bernard, the last time I saw Winky he fought on almost even terms with the Executioner. Yeah he looked bad and struggled but it's a lot better than losing to Carlos Quintana. Williams is too much of an enigma to put over Cotto just yet, although I think he'd beat Miguel. But if he's able to decisively beat Winky (and Winky doesn't look 100) I'd have to put him right up there with the very best in the world.

I don't get it. Because Paul Williams beat Antonio Margarito and Miguel Cotto lost to Antonio Margarito. I have family in Calexico.

Cotto has a very accomplished record at 140lbs which is often overlooked, has a win over Mosley and a win over Quintana, who holds a win over Williams. I have no idea why he aint on the p4p lists. just because he lost to Margarito? cmon, thats dumb. I mean, Cotto beat the guy that demolished Margarito.

Besides, 'Cotto's win over Mosley is better than....' is purely subjective. It could be argued that Cotto fought a much lesser version than the one who faced Margarito. Anyway, I do see your point and I think that we're just going in circles. Who do you think ranks higher right now. P4P and at WW. Yea, this is a debate that's going always be tight. I, personally, based on body of work, would put Cotto higher on both lists. But I wouldn't put up a huge argument if Williams was ahead. If Williams beats Winky, I'd have him over Cotto P4P. They're both young and have a lot of fighting ahead of them though. I'm just pumped that they exist cause they're both awesome fighters.
