Cotto is still the best at 147.

The bottom line is, unless Mosley or Cotto man up and fight Williams, there will always be an asterisk next to their undisputed status at WW. That would be true if it werent for the fact that he is fighting at 154 and 160 now, and will probably never fight at 147 again.

There is a lot to say he couldn't do it again... Did you not see what SSM did to Margarito? And Plaster or not, Margarito Ran over Cotto. Even if he cheated that ass kicking will stay in his mind regardless of what people say...They didnt take the ass whoopin Cotto seems to be a very strong person mentally and spiritually. IMO he will recover fully from the loss. Also the thought that Margarito may well have cheated wont hurt his confidence. And aside from that.... so what? Mosley being able to beat Margarito while Cotto couldnt says NOTHING about Cotto vs Mosley. Styles make fights, Margarito didnt have the skills or adaptability to take Mosley, Cotto did. That hasnt changed, and again Mosley hasnt gotten any younger between fights.

the best in this division hasnt really been established yet... all the contenders can make a claim but "the man at 147" title is still up for grabs... i hope b4 the year ends we'll see who that "man" is...

Also I dont see how anyone can dispute the Cotto/Mosley decision. It was a competitive fight but round by round a pretty clear win for Cotto.

SSM is the man til he loses. Cotto holds a relatively recent win over Mosley. Say what you will, but there isnt much to indicate he couldnt do it again. In fact Mosley has only gotten farther away from his prime since then, Cotto has it deeper into his, so to speak. With Margarito out of the picture, Mosley really is the only guy at Welter that threatens Cotto.

Fact is Floyd is # 1 Cotto and Mosely could be argued for #2 but Williams is defintely before Margarito! The reason for floyd #1 is because of reigning status and the fact if he returned he'd be the biggest fight and favorite to win each fight!

"You think you can beat Jennings" is a little" My daddy can beat your daddy up", Come on man get tougher than that. Also Mosley / Cotto was a close fight in the eyes of some could of went both ways or draw. I think Cotto BARELY won Maybe man. Cotto definetely dominated early. Outclassed Mosley for first 4 rounds. Thats what got him home.

Mosley beat up Margo, even taking the Wrap situation in consideration that is far more impressive than beating a nobody like jennings. Nobody? So you think you can beat Jennings? Also Cotto beat Mosley man.

maybe u can make that statement if ssm lost terribly to cotto when they fought ... as is ssm is the man till he loses.
