the best there was, the best that ever will be.No amount of crying will change this fact, deal with it.To the fake floyd fans out that never step up to the plate to defend floyd shame on you all.
Yeh i was talking about Sugar Ray Leonard not Ray Robinson.
And i didnt call him the greatest of all time.
The question was how many weight catorgory's is Mayweather considered the best ever and i replied back he isnt as he moved up continuesly throughout his career.
And having tuneups before moving up is not much of a big deal
And who is out there that Mayweather would really shock by beating them? You'd have to find someone at Middleweight. And even then, the odds wouldnt be so far fetched.
oh i misread i thought you meant srr not srl
sugar had like 100+ fights at 147 and probably around 50 at 160.
floyd only fought 39 in his entire career and only 1 i can think of that a win wasn't a foregone conclusion.
you don't become the goat by not having a single "shock the world" type wins.
hopkins has a couple of those......pacquiao has a few...... and those are just 2 from his own era.
where is floyd's ali-foreman? his ali-liston?
where was his 3 lineal titles in 1 years like armstrong?
floyd can't even jump 5 lbs. without taking a couple of tuneups against shot fighters or bums.

Floyd never stayed in a weight catorgory long enough to claim an ATG status in a particular weight catorgory.
What weight catorgory is SRL recognised as the best ever?
These guys moved up too many to be singled into one.

Yeh but i dont think he was officially recognised as the champ at light welter. Maybe i'm wrong.
But at Welter he universially recognised as the no1 welter.
actually......those 3 super lightweights i named were 3 of the 4 floyd fought at 147.
the 4th was the great carlos baldomir.
I was replying to a thread which stated Floyd could have been the GOAT, so I was strictly talking All-Time. The post wasn't particulary ambiguous.

LOL
No1 @ Supper Feather
No1 @ Lightweight
No1 @ Welterweight
The only two weight catorgory's he werent no1 were Light welter and light middle.
Do some more research.

i pictured the TS as an old, drunk, senile chinese guy...like the dude from Big Trouble in Little China :D
lol
btw is it me or does 2501's avatar look like a bloated , fat steven seagal?
LMAO :)
I hate to break up the parade, but Floyd was good; very, very good, but he would never have been the GOAT or even talked about in the same context as the greats, because the reality is the man was never the best of a single weight class, never mind P4P. Even when considering individual attributes of fighters, whatever Floyd does well, they have been other people who have done it better.
This is not hating, just being realistic. Had he not shyed away from most of the dangerous fighters 135+, he might have cracked the Top 20-30, IMO. But there is as far as his potential would have carried him unfortunately.

don't you know that when williams beat margarito , a margarito win was added to floyd's resume.
same when margarito beat cotto......and when hatton beat tszyu.......and when spadafora went to jail......
add those to the fact that casamayor and freitas "ducked" floyd and floyd beat a prime oscar delahoya.
floyd is the greatest of all time!!!!!
btw if hatton beats pacquiao , a pacquiao win goes on floyd's resume too!!!!
i think floyd mayweather jr. would TKO sugar ray robinson in 8 rounds.
it'll be tougher if it was a 15 round fight though.
why do i say it'll be tougher in a 15 round fight than 12 when i think floyd would win in 8 rounds?
because i'm dumb.
lol...... funniest post ive read today.

Come on Bruh!:pat:
and like i said if u watch srr u will see flaws..... boxing in those days was much less about skills than it is today and you know it
robinson's only flaw was sometimes he didn't take training seriously.
that's why he would come out of shape or undertrained at times.
about robinson's only weakness was he lacked punching power in the high weight classes but that's understandable being a natural welterweight.
F-uck it. truest thing posted all day, He is not top 50, not top 20 he is numero uno you haters, he isnt the most personable guy but it really doesnt matter, Armstrong isnt beating floydn and all of ya know it .
this guy makes me laugh
stfu...................................terrible thread
Larryx is a true floyd fan and he's even shunning u out
