Floyd Mayweather the best there is...............

Yeh i was talking about Sugar Ray Leonard not Ray Robinson. And i didnt call him the greatest of all time. The question was how many weight catorgory's is Mayweather considered the best ever and i replied back he isnt as he moved up continuesly throughout his career. And having tuneups before moving up is not much of a big deal And who is out there that Mayweather would really shock by beating them? You'd have to find someone at Middleweight. And even then, the odds wouldnt be so far fetched. oh i misread i thought you meant srr not srl

sugar had like 100+ fights at 147 and probably around 50 at 160. floyd only fought 39 in his entire career and only 1 i can think of that a win wasn't a foregone conclusion. you don't become the goat by not having a single "shock the world" type wins. hopkins has a couple of those......pacquiao has a few...... and those are just 2 from his own era. where is floyd's ali-foreman? his ali-liston? where was his 3 lineal titles in 1 years like armstrong? floyd can't even jump 5 lbs. without taking a couple of tuneups against shot fighters or bums. Floyd never stayed in a weight catorgory long enough to claim an ATG status in a particular weight catorgory. What weight catorgory is SRL recognised as the best ever? LMAO :) I hate to break up the parade, but Floyd was good; very, very good, but he would never have been the GOAT or even talked about in the same context as the greats, because the reality is the man was never the best of a single weight class, never mind P4P. Even when considering individual attributes of fighters, whatever Floyd does well, they have been other people who have done it better. This is not hating, just being realistic. Had he not shyed away from most of the dangerous fighters 135+, he might have cracked the Top 20-30, IMO. But there is as far as his potential would have carried him unfortunately. and like i said if u watch srr u will see flaws..... boxing in those days was much less about skills than it is today and you know it robinson's only flaw was sometimes he didn't take training seriously. that's why he would come out of shape or undertrained at times. about robinson's only weakness was he lacked punching power in the high weight classes but that's understandable being a natural welterweight.
