How many times will Marquez get knocked down? I have a feeling he will. Thats usually how his fights go anyways right? I see no different happening when fighting a bigger natural lightweight. I didnt say knocked out just knocked down.
I need to do what?? What do you think I started watching boxing lastnight? Seriously JMM is moving up in weight to fight a naturally bigger opponent. Pac is a beast and different body build and you cant use him to gauge how JMM will do. You think cause he knocked down Casa he brought power up with him..Casa has been going down hill..You could tell by the Katsidis fight..He got lucky that Katsidis went in there like a Kamikaze. Hell he was shot way before that when they were handing him decisions. JMM is a great fighter and do not take anything away from him, but He's already had his share of wars. I have a feeling JMM will be getting old Sat. night.
We have a complete opinion about this bout.
Juan Diaz doesn't have punching power at all, he's a volume puncher theres no way he knocksdown JMM. And you need to watch more JMM's fights rather than the Manny Pacquiao fights.

I like Diaz' heart and character on and off the ring. He's got the heart of a champion. What I don't like is that he gets hit often. There doesn't seem to be any setup in his attack. He just goes forward with no deception or tactic. I just think a smart fighter like JMM will pick this guy apart. Marquez' punches are also underrated - he punches very hard, and Diaz can't just can't keep going forward like he normally does.
Trust me dude, I'm torn between this fight, you got a young lion and excellent boxer in Diaz against an aging lion and future HoF JMM going at it, it's tough but you can't count the old lions out it seems. It all started with Casamayor defeating Kats, Hopkins over Pavlik and now Shane over Tony, I don't know man, Diaz does have a chance but I just think JMM might have the edge on this fight. We shall see, I can't wait!
You cant wait..Hell i cant wait i bought tickets to the damn thing!!!
Diaz doesn't sit down on his shots enough, he'll have to be caught with a blind punch to be put down in this one.
diaz is hoping volume will put marquez down
You are talking about Casamayor here...he's the epitome of counter punching, much like JMM. Diaz ain't no Joel Casamayor, I like Diaz but come on :)
Definitely not Casamayor and i really dont like doing the whole triangle thing cause everyone is a different fighter. What i meant was he was getting touched up as in lacking defense..Open to left hands..Juans beards tough..I dont think JMM has enough pop to scruff up Juans beard..Its just me If I see a fighter thats been open to counter left hands..Then I would look for that when available..I like both of these fighters but nobody seems to think Diaz has a chance..
Your right about Marquez getting knocked down. He has been knocked down in many of his fights, but he gets up and recovers really quickly. I think his brain has a fast shutdown and reboot mechanism, but maybe this helps him since he's not a target while lying on the canvass.
This is irrelevant to the whole fight anyway, because even if Marquez gets knocked down, he has this amazing power of recuperation. He'll get back up and for some reason gains this ability to take further punches in the fight.
Diaz will be in for a boxing lesson from one of the greatest combination punchers in history. Marquez' timing is also truly amazing to watch. This is the reason why faster fighters have such a tough time against him. He neutralizes speed with his accuracy and timing.
Boxing fans will be in for a treat as we witness the great JMM breakdown another Diaz who only know the forward direction. I'm a Pacquiao fan and hope that someday these two great warriors will meet again.
Never said it him getting knocked down meant he was losing as we are all aware of ability to recover quickly. I was just wondering how many times will go down. And I really dont think this will be a boxing lesson...
I wouldnt be surprised if I see one but anything above that would be really really be something unexpected. This is Diaz could earn an argument fighting Manny if he does that.
Marquez getting knocked down = Irrelevant

This is me and soley my opinion..I think Marquez will get old in this fight..He was getting touched up by casa in the last fight..Eating a lot of lefts..Either way I think this will be the start of his decline..

jmm does eat canvas often... mab put him down... but i dunno if juan diaz can punch like mab.
Has Marquez really fight a fighter like Diaz yet? He will have to get used to the 4-5 punch combos from Diaz. Plus Diaz body work is not to shabby. Sux when 2 of your fav fighters go at it.
