Cotto has the FAR better chin.
Cotto was rocked when he was weight drained at 140, since then, he took bombs from Judah early and kept coming forward, and took bombs from Margarito, and sitll didnt' get KO'd. His legs went more than anything else.
Hatton was rocked by a bigger guy, but even forgetting that, he was rocked by a 135 pounder, in HIS natural weight class.
Common opponent, Malignaggi, seemed to hit Hatton harder than he could hit Cotto.
Make a damn poll. COTTO has the superior chin.
the weight drained situation can't be completely delusional.
Cotto vs. Corley, @ 140. Corley rocked Cotto big time.
Cotto vs. Judah, @ 147. When Judah tagged Cotto with those uppercuts, Cotto didn't seem as hurt as he did in the Corley fight.
now, i'm wondering, who is the naturally bigger man, Corley or Judah? who hits harder, Corley or Judah?
can someone clarify this. I would think the Judah that fought Cotto @ 147 would be a bigger puncher than the Corley that fought Cotto @ 140. Is Judah known to be a harder hitter than Corley? If yes, then the fact that Judah was also heavier than Corley (since Judah fought Cotto @147), would add to his power.
Corley had Mayweather on queer street as well.
Hatton was one-punch KO'd by Mayweather, who is not a puncher by any means. He was also hurt numerous times by Collazo, Ben Tackie, Urango.... Cotto has been hurt by Torres who is a HUGE puncher, Plasterito, and Corely.
That being said, Cotto has the better chin...by far.
there's nothing wrong with being hurt by Urango!!! the man can punch! haha.
also, Torres, a big puncher as well.
but i would have to go with Cotto.
When did Malignaggi hurt Hatton?
You've lost me, son.
Well, I didn't mean Maligaggi actually hurt Hatton.
Like I said previously, that whole head snapping back by Malig's jabs, must have played to my head too much.
hmm... lets compare Hatton/Collazo and Cotto/Margarito.
Both Hatton and Cotto were up against the naturally bigger man.
But come on, Hatton was in danger against Collazo. Collazo isn't known for being a hard hitter, like Margarito is, especially if he had illegal wraps.

Hatton. This weight drained nonsense about Cotto is delusional. The man can't take a punch when tagged right. If he wasn't so good, he would've been KTFO lots of times. I can't forget the Ricardo Torres fight.
I mean "super zab judah" nearly took that head off before Cotto went to his nuts....

i'm not sure how it does. :dunno:
maybe the fact that malignaggi has none to somewhat low power, gets to my head too much. 25 wins, 5 by KO. sorry, it's too funny to me, mate. :lol1:

im gonna go with hatton not because im a big fan but because ive seen him hurt more often its close thow ..ive never seen cotto take a turnbuckle so ??
How the **** does that mean he doesn't have as good a chin as Cotto.
Hatton has never been rocked and unsteady on his feet like Cotto. Therefore Hatton has the better chin.

by the way, Hatton looked quite hurt in the Lazcano fight, to me. LAZCANO, a lightweight, who was inactive for over a year at the time he fought Hatton.
and, assuming marg had illegal wraps when he fought cotto, how long would hatton have lasted against 11 rounds of being hit by hardened wraps? (i know, i know, hatton is probably naturally smaller than cotto. cotto has fought as low as the 135 division before. hatton was fought at 140 and above. im not sure if that has anything to do with how it determines who is the naturally bigger man, but i don't think the natural size difference between Hatton and Cotto is much).
Yes he did, after 11 rounds of brutal beating, can Hatton do that?
Cotto wasn't getting brutally beat for 11 rounds. Anyways, as said before, Cotto has the beater chin and Hatton has the better heart imo
Hatton took more shots from Mayweather than Cotto took from Margarito (by a mile).
Plus, Mayweather isn't as light punching as you think. He actually has a higher KO % than Margarito. Plus he's more accurate, plus he's faster.
Floyd scored most of his stoppages at the lower weight classes where he was a beast!
since moving up in weight Floyd's ko ratio went down, it is ridiculous to believe Floyd at welterweight has more power than Antonio Margarito.
Cotto. Hatton got KO'd by Mayweather who isn't known as a big puncher by any means. Cotto was taking bombs for 11 rounds by Margarito and simply couldn't take anymore, but he was never unconscious. Neither of them have great chins, but Hatton took less shots from a light punching Mayweather and was actually out on his feet.

I have seen Hatton messed up and cut pretty bad in fights, but only ko'd once.
Cotto has not been cut much, besides the Margarito fight and he did not get ko'd per say; however his heart looked suspect by taking the knee. He was taking a beating though.
I'd say Cotto has the better chin and Hatton the better heart!!
i noticed malignaggi's jabs were able to snap hatton's head back
i didn't see much of cotto's head getting snapped back by malignaggi's jabs, keep in mind that cotto was probably weight drained for that fight.
i choose cotto.
