Top Rank nailed it tonight, excellent job on their parts.
It would have been easy to put the Cotto and Pavlik fights as the co-feature in a single venue, but instead they pack out two.
This must surely be a good omen for the sport we all love.
I wasnt impressed with either fighter and they both fought bums.
Who gives a shit what you think. I know what will impress you watching Mayweather play with himself.
I get where your getting at about the fights being able to fill up two stadiums but that also had to do with Kelly being Youngstown's hero and Cotto having such a large fan base in Newyork. Honestly the under card in Youngstown for those who went to the fight live was pathetic and the main event opponents weren't that good.
Yeah but the fact that these guys drew such a crowd is a testament to the fans.
Even in the current economic climate, boxing is alive and well.

but both fighters had great crowds which means the tickets sold well. too bad paul cant do the same, he doesnt have a fan base like cotto and pavlik

seriously,all fights were pretty good.
I hope you using sarcasm.
Those fights sucked, they weren't competitive at all. Cotto fought a nobody who was afraid of him from the start, and Pavlik fought a bum that couldn't even box.
Seriously these types of fights are good for the fighters returning from previous defeat, but bad for fans that want to see good competitive matches.
All we got is one-sided beatdowns of boxers who might as well would have been amateurs.
These fights should have been on HBO not PPV so putting them together was just an attempt to legitimize ripping people off.
I can see where you are coming from but the whether it should have been PPV or not is irrelevant.
Just looking at how packed both venues were, I think it's safe to say boxing is still very much alive.
