U could tell how much this ment to Cotto, he had doubts! I say u could tell because after he had Jennings hurt the first time he had like a fight winning celebration in his corner - i actually thought thhe fight had been stopped! Anyway Welcome back to winning ways Miguel and Cool Trunks!:boxing:
I would love to see this fight, just got in from work.
Anyone know where i can see it?
Good on Mr. Cotto i knew he would return after the scandal on a winning note.
Go Son!!!

This wasn't a big win at all, but it sets him up for some big unification business later this yr. We better get Cotto-Clottey or Cotto-SSM.
Berto would do Anyody but Cintron.
I was going to make a thread, but I'll just put it in here.
You know how in basketball when players go cold shooting? Well the announcers/coached always say one thing. Drive the hoop and try to get a lay up to get your confidence back. This was Cotto's layup. Even the easiest shots or opponents in this case can do something for you pshycologically.
"This was a very important fight psychologically," Cotto's trainer and uncle Evangelista Cotto said. "Miguel had to get back into the ring. He looked very decisive."
His uncle's words express what I'm saying. It had to have helped mentally...
And I thought the same thing you did when his uncle picked him up like that. That's how important this fight was for him.
LMAO!..you guys too?..
I even got up and screamed.."IT'S OVER BABY!!!".. than he sat down to get water and vaselined up!..lol..I felt a lil salty..but I was too hyped!..haha
Me and the missus were the same man ITS OVA!!!!! lol
Cotto looked pretty good, efficent, a Jennings is hard to look EXPLOSIVE against plus i think Miguel was trying to be PERFECT

So am i man it was touch and go for a bit there Setanta didnt getb the fight signed untill TODAY! WAR COTTO!!! Clinical, cold, dispassionate and vicious - vintage Cotto! :boxing:
I thought the fight had been stopped too when that happened. I think one thing that I noticed about cotto is that his demeanor is a getting a little more... not cocky... but more charismatic. Don't get me wrong he's always been charismatic, but in that mumra type of charisma. I seen him celebrating and smiling a lot more, which is good for him, I think, in the long run because his stock will only grow with the casual boxing community the more accessible he seems as a human being.
Dunno i kinda like his killer cyborg demenor

It should help his confidence to get a W under his belt, no doubt. It remains to be seen what will happean when he faces a stiffer test or some adversity in the ring.
A long journey always starts with 1 step, and he did what he had to do against an overmatched foe.
