Is Bernard Hopkins Vs Roy Jones Jr II still a possibility?

The fight won't happen, but if it did Roy Jones could get seriously hurt, other that semi-quick hands Roy has nothing left, and his legs are completely gone. when was the last time hopkins seriously hurt anyone? jones has recovered from the johnson and tarver fights now and if calzaghe couldnt seriously hurt him throwing 1000 odd punches then hopkins wont with 400 ish.

jones beats hopkins. calzaghe beating jones easier than hopkins doesnt mean shit, jones threw more, landed more and landed at a higher % than hopkins did against calzaghe and he didnt use fouling tactics or clinching, jones just couldnt stop calzaghe coming. jones is quicker than hopkins by far, has just as good accuracy, better power, reflexes. he beats hopkins now and any other time in the past.

I hope not. I rather have the PPV slot or WBC slot and money go to other figthers in their primes or a loaded BAD card. I wouldn't mind seeing the fight, but I agree with this post in that the money could be much better spend putting a card full of younger fighters in good matchups kind of like what we have on 3/7 and should end up happening on 4/25 with the Golden Boy and Top Rank BAD cards.

Doubt wel see a KO, but yeh i gotta agree at this stage Hopkins takes it... I don't see Hopkins presing a KO against Roy, there's far too much respect between the two for either man to want to KO the other. But Roy's too gunshy nowadays, and Hopkins is still pretty damn fast and accurate. I'd say a 117-111 or 116-112 UD would be the most likely outcome, in favor of Hopkins.

Nah no KO's in this fight.. UD win either way IMO I honestly think that Roy would have no chance in hell of winning this fight in any way. FFs Hopkins is probably the best LHW currently and I can name you a bunch of top 10 LHWs that would knock Roy out.

Could happen, be a boring fight though..

Anything is possible in boxing, but Hopkins remains firm in not wanting to capitalize on Roy's decline. Bernard is not actively pursuing any fight, including Roy, at this point in time.
