Why is Pacquiao willing to fight Miguel Cotto but wants no part of Shane Mosley?

cotto probably more money but mosley is more glory. cotto quit against margarito in a fight he was winning while mosley destroyed margarito from round 1 on I think beating Cotto would get him more glory from the average fan just because he is in his prime. I agree with you that beating Mosley is the bigger feat but i just think that the general public would consider beating Cotto a bigger deal considering that what most average know about Mosley right now is that he is an older fighter and that he used steroids. again i dont agree with that thought at all but i think thats what it is. Oh and i dont agree that Cotto quit but well anyways 2 judges had Margarito up 2 points before the 11th rd and one judge had it even so Cotto wasnt winning.

I think it's because Cotto does not hit as hard as Mosley and Cotto does not take a punch as well as Mosley does. Pacquiao and his people probably believe they can hurt Miguel Cotto at sometime during the fight.

I believe Pacman wants Cotto over mosley because: A) NOT money (mosley is the bigger name...plain and simple...i read a handful of posts that claim this was the reason...mosley is a future HOF'er...he brings the numbers over cotto) B) Cotto beat mosley (he wants cotto as it would be a bigger statement win since cotto beat mosley) C) cotto is closer to pacquiaos size (and fighting style) D) and because he might see a vulnerability in cotto since he lost to margarito. or im not accusing him of anything but he could view cotto as the safer fight.

Mosley showed lots of quickness in his hands and a quicker fighter can represent more danger for pacquiao. Cotto still showed some quickness when he faced Mosley, but started getting tired as the rounds went by. Plus if Pacquiao faced Cotto he would get more money I believe. Maybe.

Mainly because of money and Cotto is probably easier to negotiate with than Mosley, I doubt Mosley would be willing to take anything less than 50% of the purse, I think Cotto would be willing to accept a lower figure.
