He beat Antonio Tarver convincingly...it was a good win vs a good name
He beats Glen Johnson barely.....He proved his toughness in that victory
He dominates Tomasz Adamek....A star was born.
There isn't anybody out there at Light Heavywieght that can beat him now. I actually see him having a Hopkins like Career, meaning that he will get all these little big name guys to come up and fight him. Right now he is the next legend in boxing.
time will tell. it's too early to throw him into the Legend cup. he needs to beat jeff lacy first, then we can talk legend status.:rofl::rofl:
Lol. Taylor is a legend.
Tarver isn't a good win, because he's age 40 and past prime. He looked faster, sharper and stronger five years ago.
Adamek was weight-drained and sick from trying to make 175 when he faced Dawson. Tomasz has fought better since he's moved up to 200.
Tomasz has been cleaning up everybody and facing top opposition since. That only makes Chad's resume better. Tarver is a good win because of the name. I don't like Tarver. He is a average fighter but non the less a good win for Chad. Remember Chad Dawson is on HBO so he will have more oppurtunites to shine.
He has already acheived more and taken more risks than Calzaghe, put it that way.

Lolz mate,:lol1:
Chad Lacks personality but is going to be the p4p kingpin..
Period
Get used to it people..
HE did NOT lose the JOHNSON fight..
Ive said this before..
The rounds Johnson won, He wong them BIG.. Which was a couple
Chad had more volume and more rounds in the bank.. He won fair and square..
People think because he was rocked he was getting his ass kicked..
If there were a rematch, CHad would fight and win by a larger margin..
He needs to drop shaw tho

Tarver isn't a good win when he was top 4 in the division and had two titles.
Adamek seemed fined in his last fight against Briggs which was only a few months before that fight and i certainly didn't hear any struggle with weight from him or his camp before? It wasn't until after that fight where those weight drained excuses popped up. A lot of people on this forum never even heard of that excuse until you bring it up. :D
Dawson has some skills but in my opinion, does not have the resume yet to be anything but a great boxer (not the best boxer out there)
I also think that Kessler would beat Dawson, he is more fundamentally sound as well as having faced the tougher opposition.
Dawson beat a washed up Tarver and got a gift decision over johnson (shoulda been one for johnson or at least a draw)
kess can beat him and by the time bute is older he will have filled out alot and might be too big for 12 st he has a good chance of beating him.
i think that dawson doesn't have a great chin so alot of fighters will fancy their chances.
but as chad gets older his skills will develop and he will become a better fighter, the only guy i can really see beating him right now is kessler. kess has similar speed, better power, better footwork and although he gives up volume and height/reach he has good skills himself so hes in with a shout
168-175 has so much potential, it has so much talent but either nobody fights (Allan Green) or they haven't developed yet (Jacobs)... soon though that bracket will be sure to heat up.
That is the exact reason. He will have crazy fighters move up and fight him. He will entice smaller fighters like Pavlik, Abraham, Pwill, Kessler, Taylor, Mundine. Especially now being on HBO he will have more chances to be seen by the public eye. Who do you think will be Boxings next legend?Pavlik will never leave MW again, AA, PWill Taylor and Mudine can't fight at 175, Kessler would probably beat him.
If he where a welterweight sure, but since he's in the boxing graveyard of 168-175 no chance what so ever.

Based on what? The Johnson fight? (Which he lost) Don't go overating the guy, I do believe he is more then capable of becoming something big...but be patient
Then Who is the next legend in boxing......
