I've seen guys a lot worse off then roy was and the ref let the fight continue.

If you watch the knockout on youtube, obviously a lucky punch. but what about the count, did the ref call it too early,(as soon as roy stood up) he made the count. history could have been different. Then he would have just gotten the shit beat out of him even more. It was only like the 2nd round.
