Gomez has a lot of heart, and with the right match making he could get in line for anouther title shot. This is provided he stays active apon his comback.

Anytime someone agrees to be a "Reality" show like The Contender, American Idol, Top Chef, Etc., they have to sign a contract that requires them to pay a certain percentage of future earning back to show. In some situations the performers even have dictated to them the conditions in which they are to gain those earnings. On one hand, I can definitely understand how a contract like that would seem unjust. But in all fairness, no one is making them be on the show. That was their choice. And if you want instant credibility and marketing power, there is going to be a price to pay. If you think that price is going to be too much then don’t sign the contract and try to make it another way.

Or we could have Gomez vs. Kermit Cintron. Or if Gomez natural weight is 140 then he can fight someone like Emmanuel Agustus. It makes perfect sense.

Gomez is a waste of time......Cotto already showed us the facts of life as it pertains to him.....he needs to concentrate on singing,

Gomez would have taken the fight against Angulo when he was scheduled to replace Mayorga originally but chose to go in the direction of getting out of his contract with the contender people instead. Something tells me now that the contender people are out of his way he would jump at such an oppourtunity in a heartbeat.

Gomez is going nowhere. It was all smoke and mirrors. His "following" isnt as big as one would believe. Without those gauranteed payouts its over.

This might just be the begining of a lot of contender partakers wanting out, and the ending for the contender show in its entirety.

His following should be able to make him a couple of dollars that the Contender people will not be entitled to now.

good. that contenders had to give them a share of their fight purse after they had already made them money by being on their show was complete bull shit.

Gomez seemed to have a pretty big following so he could probably make a couple of dollars at the club circuit/espn scene.
