I remember HBO announcers were clear on having JLC winning but were split or favored pac over jmm.
i scored it for jlc fairly easily the first fight, the pac-jmm2 was much harder to score.
There were just so many rounds which Mayweather clearly won that there is no way it can be a clear win for Castillo. I can accept an absolute razor-thin decision for JLC but no way in hell did he clearly win that fight. You cannot do absolutely nothing for half the fight and win by a margin, I don't care how impressive you are in the rounds where you actually land a punch.
I completely agree, if you give away 5 of the first 6 rounds (could have lost all 6), it is extremily hard to get a decision on the cards because some judges might just prefer a certain style, atleast if you do not get extra points for knockdowns. He came on like gangbuster in the 2nd half to make it a very good fight, but he did not sweep that last 6 rounds (imo). People also forget the point deductions, which played a huge part in the fight for me..
Yea, I just had a long argument about that fight. Sometimes I think I saw a totally different fight then most people.
Oh well that is part of the fun about boxing, 10 people can all see the same fight and you might get 10 different opinions about what happeaned.

Haha, this is why I love boxing.
I respect your opinion a great deal, over probably about 98% of this board, yet every time I watch that fight I think "I can't believe ppl score this fight for Castillo by a margin".

PBF lost pretty clearly in the 1st fight.

I think Pac-JMM2 was closer. I could have called that fight either way whilst I have watched Mayweather-Castillo1 over 5 times and I score it for Floyd the exact same way each time.

Both fights could've gone either way, but based on the Knockdown in Pac-JMM 2, I'd have to say PBF-JLC was closer...
Pac-JMM2 was much closer. JLC gave away to many early round like 5 out of the first 6 to have any real shot at winning on the cards.
Pac-JMM2 had lots of close rounds that could have gone either way, many more then JLC-Floyd 1 (pac-Jmm had like 6 or 7 close rounds that could really go either way, there are maybe 3 in JLC Floyd 1).
too hard to tell without being biased against floyd
at that time i watched it i still like floyd, but i really can't score some rounds for him. i still like floyd's skills but his stupid cockiness lately pisses me off.
