i don't post here much but i'm always reading, and people here act like this guy is the second coming of Ali.
Every excuse is made for his poor perfomances, i mean the guy was nearly knocked the fukk out by Ricardo Torres. Everybody say's 140 drained him but nobody mentions the fact that Torres took that fight on short notice (like 2 weeks).
Next he gets his ass whipped by Margarito, the NEVADA commission has clearly stated that there's no way that Antonio could've cheated. Again that is ignored but the same people then use the recent ruling against him to label Cotto's loss "tainted". Hypocrisy I tell you....
Cotto's good but he's not great yet.
I remember watching that fight. That was a sad day. Holmes just owned Ali Funeka. Ali was fatter and older back then.
Now he's tall and skinny again.
he has a serious case of benjamin button so he does..
smells of pure Flawless or Brandish altness..
but lets play this game
who said he was unbeatable? why not post some evidence? everyone knows Cotto is vulenarable which makes him exciting to watch.
What I find funny is how you use the times he's been hurt as an example of his lack of greatness. If you ask me or any other boxing fan, the fact that he's been hurt and comes back to win the fight IS a sign of greatness. In the Torres fight, in the Corley fight, etc.
The amount of times you've gotten up and won is more important than the amount of times you've been dropped.
And for your biased ass information, Cotto's only actually been dropped once.
Cotto isn't great yet, but he has the opportunity to become great. Regardless of the fact, he will get more respect for how he carries himself than most fighters in the game right now.
i really don't disagree with you, i just don't like when some here act like the Margarito loss wasn't valid. I can get some quotes for you if you like.
There is a difference between discrediting and pointing something out, and i'm doing the latter.

Why can't people understand the bold?..He's a brawler wit pure boxer skills!!...what more can u ask for?..and Yea he's only been dropped once!..Torres is obviously a powerful hitter..but like Deuce-5 said..He KO'd him..so that's irrelevant!...
I don't claim him to be unbeatable..but I bet who ever defeats him..WILL HAVE TO EARN THAT W!..In other words he'll give that person A HELL OF A FIGHT!!...
He's amongst the most exciting fighters to watch..he's humble..and he'll fight ANYBODY!!..
What's not to like about this guy?
no unbeatable, but very good ....better than last puertorican boxing idol tito trinida on my opinion, cotto can braw, can box and fight backward.... (A) type of boxer
Tito Trinidad would have knocked Cotto out cold in the early rounds had they been active at the same time.
Didn't Larry Holmes ko Ali Funeka?
I am sorry. I am just contributing to the stupidity for the hell of it.
:luvbed:
He walked back to his corner and didn't answer the bell.. it was counted as a KO because they quit.

no shit sherlock.tell me, any clues as to who killed tupac and biggie? and while you're at it tell me if courtney got someone to kill kurt cobain.sssssssssshhhhhhhheeeesh.
this thread started is dumb as shit, obviously he is not unbeatable because if he was he would have never gotten beaten the first time.
if you have nothing constructive to say, then don't say anything.

agreed.... cotto is good but not great
what's funny is that he mentions Ali in his first post (as if Ali was unbeatable) when Ali lost like 4 times and one of them was by knock out.
the Ali example was a testament to his greatness not the record...
LOL. That is funny isn't it?

:lol1:
Cotto is beatable, he already lost once
maybe 32-1* ?
lol no way, you can't accept one commission's ruling and ignore the other. You can't have it both ways.
