I'm tired of ppl declaring fighters as super great or calling fighters just hype and then going into hiding after they are proven wrong. So this thread(I will be making more of these) is to call on those ppl when they are actually proven wrong with evidence.
So pick your option for Paul Williams but remember, you might be proven wrong so pick carefully.
Tough poll... because although I don't to discredit Williams .. I don't want to over praise him either.. He is a prospect as far as I am concerned.. and it's too soon to pass judgment
well, this can easily be settled if boxers would quit ducking him
yeah. I think if he fights Abraham, this thread would be settled. if he wins, then he is the real deal(no matter what happens afterwards) if he loses, then he was just hype.

If Williams beats Wright (potentially over-the-hill or not), then this guy is legit at any weight he wants to fight at. Wright is a man who dominated a prime Mosely, Trinidad, and who beat Taylor (even if it was wrongly scored a draw). I don't think the time off will affect a slick defensive boxer like Winky, so if Williams can beat him, there should no longer be any question of the guy's skills.
I have to go real deal but maybe a bit over-hyped. He is tall and is a solid boxer. Defense is alright and he did beat Margacheato and Quintana. I think he is a solid boxer and gets far too much hate from the fans.
Mostly rational fans know he is somewhere in between. He hasnt fought enough good opponents to prove he isnt hype and the hype people like Kellerman & the Williams wannabees spew about his godlike ablility is unfounded...he hasnt done anything impressive yet!
he beat Margarito with plaster wraps. He took his shots and kept going unfazed. I think that is impressive.
bill murray.
murray didn't make stay puft move up in weight......
You do have a point:biggthump
Bill was an effective middleweight taking on a gigantoweight. Puft makes the Klitschkos look like albino versions of Paul Williams.
marg's trainer is gonna give paul a proton pack to use against winky?
cheaters...... :nonono:
Who do you rate higher as a ghostbuster???????
Bernard Hopkins or Bill Murray??????
Winky gets done up like the Ghost Busters did the Stay Puft.

he proved me he was hyped after quintana gave him a boxing lesson. The fact that he koed him back in one doesnt mean a thing for me, because if they ever fight again i see quintana giving him another class in how to eat straight left hands. Even before he got the ko in the 2nd fight, he ate like 2 or 3 of those. So he will be exploited by a good practitioner. Another thing is that he has a terrible form when he throws most of his shots, except for the uppercut. Also, when he fought Shamba he was getting hit with pretty much everything...
So he is decent but just too much hype. He might do a lot better in 160; who knows

I think I remember such a thread where you didn't fair too well in a future prediction of a fighters future exploits. Want me to dig it up?
Yes. PWill is the REAL DEAL.
