Mosley is known to be "Mr. Nice Guy" so his opinion isn't interesting nor does it surprise anyone, except Margarito sympathizers who wants to use Mosley's opinion to justify their feelings that the punishment was too harsh. What I find interesting is that the Margarito sympathizers, and I'm willing to be that most are Mexicans, are over looking the obvious fact that he was going to fight Mosley with LOADED ****IN' GLOVES! "uh, I didn't know anything" is something a child would use and Margarito doesn't strike me to have an intelligence of a child (He wears glasses!! That totally adds 10+ to your I.Q.!) I dont know about no discrimanation in Cali im from ARBROATH but what i DO know is Margarito cheated and was let off lightly!

Arum threw it out there cuz he knows there is a significant anti-Mexican (immigrant) sentiment in Cali. The validity of his argument is up for discussion. I agree with the part of his statement that implies there is animosity towards Mexicans in California. As far as the one year suspension goes, I could care less, Tony got what he got. It would be naive to suggest that there isn't an anti-Mexican sentiment out there but you have to look at the facts of the situation and the punishment before proclaiming this to be an injustice. As far as I can tell no one else, including Mexicans, thinks the decision was unfair let alone racist.

People like Arum need to get out of boxing. Does more in hurting the sport than helping it. The next crop of promoters, afters these slags die off, I hope go a different rout in promoting the sport and using a higher standard of morals aswell. I think Hayemaker boxing seems like they good people with good intensions for the game putting on competitive fights and stuff. Alot of boxers are stating to promote, they will respect the fighters more and thats a good start

I disagree to be honest... I just think that Arum is more pissed about losing out of a years worth of paydays from one of his biggest cash cows to be honest, nothing more or nothing less. That is why he tried pulling the race card because he has nothing else to say... why would the California Commission care if Margarito was Mexican or not? Nothing against Bob Arum he is a fantastic promoter and all, and has been very successful with Top Rank but in this case I just think he is being bitter, well that is my opinion anyway. :)

Lifetime ban for that offence should be minimum, you are responcible your your wraps, you take the blame if YOU allow someone to put illegal pads in them. Race is not a factor, cheating is.
