Let's get one thing straight here boys and girls. We all know the majority of USA posters on this forum are imature, nationalistic, over-opinionated, deluded assholes who honestly believe that their opinions make the world a better place. There is no reasoning with those kind of people and I am fully aware that it is not every last American, but lets just say the bad far outweighs the good as far as them lot are concerned. Whatever they say about the British living legend Joe Calzaghe, regardless of the dumb arguments they try to raise, we can all be safe in the knowledge that it's just anger and jealousy on their part for the simple reason that Joe is not an American. It is quite comical really. It is evident for all to see, and the more they do it, the more obvious it becomes.
Please refrain from nationalistic hate.
Please refrain from racist hate.
Please refrain from basing your opinions on heresay, opinion, and internet stories.
Remember, we are here on this forum because we love this sport, not because we love to hate the people involved in it.
Let's ALL show some respect for this proud, British, history making sportsman and his incredible acheivements inside the boxing ring.
46-0. No Ordinary Joe
He was out of the ordinary in his unique style, out of the ordinary in his accomplishments and talents, and out of the ordinary in the way he has left the sport; undefeated, a champion and apparently content and ready to move on to a new phase of his life after dedicating the vast majority of his 37 years to the sport.
Joe's tremendous hand speed and conditioning, combined with an intense will to win and a higher gear that few would have been able to match, served him well over the years. Though never heavy handed, his was strictly a numbers game.
While he lacked the punch to immediately put away his foe, many a man withered under his endless barrage of punches; tossed from every imaginable angle. To fight Joe Calzaghe must have been like standing in the ocean and facing down the oncoming tide.

you guys sound alike.... hhhmmmmmm *cough* alt:lol1:
I am from the lovely, crime-free, sunny land of Merseyside, England. I always assumed Tunney was an American. It would be kinda hard to be the same person. Have you been watching The Matrix again?
At the very least Joe Calzaghe is the best Super Middleweight to ever hold the title . Places in all time great lists are always contraversial but I believe he's should be on anyone's list.
despite its relatively young age this is irrefutable
Put it like this. I was listening to sports talk 980 yesterday. The news guy is going through highlights of the day and mentions that super middleweight Joe Calzaghe retired today. The host of the show cut him off and was like "isn't that the guy who came into the ring smoking a cigarette." So if Joe thinks he has done enough in his career and is a ATG he needs to think again. Because in no way shape form or fashion should he get mixed up with a person thinking he is Carlos Mayorga. Yeah Joe you surely will be remembered!!!!!!!! LMAO:fing26::wt:

you alluded to me being anti white by the fact that my profile is 'plastered with picture of black boxers'.
Im not a hater I just dont think he is a good boxer or entertaining. I respect him but I dont like him.
Please dont think because you use polysyllabic words you are superior or more intelligent we all reach our own conclusions through our own experiences so if you love Calzaghe good luck to you but because we dont all adhere to this we are by no means anomalies (yes it changes to ies when plural)
"**** Calslappy" is not a respecful thing to say.
"**** Calslappy" was you attempt to come in here and get a reaction which is exactly what it has done. Congratulations, job well done. Can you grow up now please?
Thanks for the tip with anomalies, I was unaware as you can see by my previous posts.

Yet Ricky Hatton, Roberto Duran, Kelly Pavlik and Miguel Cotto are some of my fav boxers
Erm... what do you want, a medal? Your ego is not the subject here.
You say **** Calslappy. Is that a rational thought? Or are those the words of a hater? Ok sorry man, next time I'll address them all as "those Americans haters, and those couple of anomalys not from America but who still hate". Will that make you feel better?
You do not break the code, you're just an anomaly. Also, is it any coincidence that your profile is plastered with picture of black boxers? Hmm, I wonder.

Joe Calzaghe was a great fighter. He was always underrated because of not being an American and because he is white, and he proved his critics wrong time after time.
So i guess its true, everything is about race with you.
Thats the same reason people dislike Hatton as well huh?
i dont like the fact that his nuthugger fans think he's GOD ALL MIGHTY
It's the same with alot of fighters tho.
Floyd's fans
Cotto's fans
Margarito's fans
Pacman fans
They all do it.

You are like the rose that grew from concrete, Tunney sir.
Let's get one thing clear, I respect that Calzaghe stepped into the ring 46 times and emerged victorious everytime, whether you dispute a win or not, they were wins. Calzaghe was a great fighter, personally I wouldn't put him in my top 100, but you might, you're entitled to your opinion and there's nothing wrong with that.
But it's hilarious that you call us nationalistic when you'll be faster than anyone to jump on one of your fellow countryman fighter's dicks regardless of whether they're any good or not. In the short time I've been here, I've actually seen people call fighters and true ring legends like Hagler, Hearns, and Leonard "U.S. hypejobs". I understand your pride in your fighters and I have no problem with that, but it's ridiculous to call U.S. fight fans childish and immature just because the majority here don't like your almighty Calzaghe.
