Did Floyd play the rest of his career safe after the Castillo fights?

Check out this string of fights since then Victoriana Sosa Philip N'dou Demarcus Corely ( beatin in his previous fight) Henry Bruseles ( HBO crew had never seen him before) Arturo Gatti ( Mickey Ward victem) Sharmba Mitchell ( just destroyed by Kostya) Zab Judah ( just beatin by a 16-1 underdog with 9 losses) Carlos Baldomir ( feather duster seller, modern day cinderalla man) Dela Hoya ( came in to the fight semi retired w/one fight in 15 months) Hatton ( wouldnt go to 140 where HAtton is best, fought him at 147) Retired at age 30 as WW champion with a loaded division of prime hungry active fighters and one being undefeated at the time(Cotto)who KO'd three guys Floyd could not. This isnt a hate thread and is up for debate.

why doesnt floyd just kill himself and make everyone happy I would prefer he just fought someone.

I think he considered risk-reward a little more after the Castillo fights. Whether that constitutes playing it safe is a matter of opinion. I certainly don't think taking on Oscar and Hatton were necessarily low-risk options but the money was there to justify it. Floyd really isn't different to a lot of fighters. Often the guys who are lauded for taking on all opponents regardless of the risk are those that are in a position that they have to.

People need to remember that the same person that is running cotto and margarito's career actually run Mayweather's career up to the Judah fight. So if you think he played the rest of his career safe then blame/talk to Bob Arum.. lol, funny how nobody else in Arum's stable plays it safe. Floyd entered the big bad WW division and played in real safe.
