My question is why in the hell wasn't Oscar at the Shane vs. Toney fight? It's as if he sic'd Mosley on Marga to get Toney off his ass and didn't have the decency to attend the fight that was truly his in the first place. At this point, Oscar is the lil homey Shane (big homie) had to defend so he could come out on the block. Also, Shane is eye balling 40 and this was believed to be his final curtain call. If you've been the friend of someone for going on 25 yr wouldn't it be the right thing to do, attending the fight. What the **** is Oscar doing taking snapshots with Fedor when his best friend within the sport of boxing/life could have gotten his career ended that night? This really pisses me off the more I think about it.:wtf1:
ugh.. how is Oscar the "lil homie".. mosley didn't fight him because he wanted him to get off Oscars back.. I dont think Margo even wanted that fight anymore after Pacquiao was done with him.. See the articles off him calling Pacquiao out if you dont believe me. Anyway, mosley took this fight to get back onto the top of the welterweight charts and that is what he did. I would have been there for my homie too but it wasnt his last fight.. and Oscar had business to attend to anyway at the other place.
If I was Oscar, I wouldn't be doing business with MMA period though so I would have been there.
Margarito had been calling out Oscar for quite some time now. Even before the Pac fight was signed and Marga was the 'big bad wolf' before the Mosley fight this past weekend. The Pac fight to Oscar was an easy payday in his mind leading up to the event. As we all saw, things didn't work out that way. Margarito, in the eyes of boxing fan, was Oscars main challenger while Pac was his lightweight. The 'Mexicans for Pac' movement was started partially out of the fact that Oscar was'nt fighting Margarito, not because that have a particular fondness for Pac. And of course, Shane wanted to be back on top of the WW division, he's a prideful champion. However, it still doesn't negate the fact that Shane knocked off Oscar main detractor/competition while Oscar was somewhere else playing business man. His ass should have been at that fight and that's that.
That's bullshit. Schaefer and Merchant already confirmed that, as did DLH. De La Hoya and Schaefer might end up buying Affliction mma and are seriously thinking about promoting mma which is why DLH was there. It makes business sense. Stop being bitter boxing purists. Worse then John McCain.
Well I am just going by what I originally heard last Saturday in HBO boxing. I am not aware of any new, information. But I can source the info.
This was already answered by the boxing announcers at the vary beginning of the match. Oscar had a multi million dollar binding contract to appear some where else (advertisement purposes or some shit).
