Tarver just lost to Dawson. There is no way Calzaghe is taking that fight after that. he just fought shot jones jr. anything is possible. anything and anyone. dead or alive.

Why wasn't Tarver listed? That seems more likely to me than half of those fights that are. Are you guys that confident Dawson will beat him again? If Tarver would take it, it would be a very appealing fight to Calzaghe, a worthy but highly beatable opponent UK fans have actually heard of (from 'Rocky Balboa', if nowhere else). Tarver just lost to Dawson. There is no way Calzaghe is taking that fight after that.

The Road Warrior. This was a fight that was supposed to happen but never did, ie injuries and such. Its a big fight and I think Joe draws a big crowd no matter what. It also adds to a resume that some find wanting. This is gonna come off us as bashing but if Glen Johnson wants Calzaghe's fairwell fight he needs to have an extremely mediocre bout in the next couple months. To show Calzaghe that it would be a safe fight. I think the Road warrior needs to put on a crap performance to make Cal feel safe. At which point Glen would need to fight his heart out and try and ruin the homecoming. Hard to imagine him taking on Dawson. Froch will be ignored by those outside UK.

Dawson has the best chance of beating him, well him and Nard who already squeked it last time IMO So one of them coz this sucker has gotta lose!!!

The winner of Taylor vs Froch would be the best choice.

Probably against Glen Johnson, Calzaghe wouldn't want to fight a young stud like Dawson who can possibly beat him. If it's a "farewell" fight than it would be against someone more respectable such as Glen Johnson, not Dawson.

Hopkins is the toughest fight on that list by some distance. Dawson ain't ready to dance with a Joe Calzaghe right now. Joe would box his ears off.

It's not gonna happen. If it don't make dollars it dont make sense. NO boxer cares about the Hardcore fans, theres not enough money in them. Casual fans RUN boxing.
