I remember it like yesterday... I was 21 years old. It was my first boxing event ever live. It was in Vegas April 7 2001. I saved up my money and paid $600.00 for this event. I had good seats but in front of my sat 2 huge men that pissed me off. When I noticed who they where I was excited. They were the Klitchko Brothers before they where really wll known. I got my autographs from them and I was super hyped up for this fight. Prince Naseem Hamed vs Marco Antonio Barrera. I was screaming at the top of my lungs. The adrenaline rush was like nothing I felt in my life. I hear those famous words that I was yelling out at the top of my lungs.... LETS GET READY TO RUMBLE. The fight started.. I was hoping for an all out war and my fighter got outsmarted for most of the fight. Even in round 12 I was praying for a crazy KO from the prince but it didn't happen. I was so dissapointed. I paid $600.00 for the fight, spent $2000.00 on the vegas trip. Came back to hear it from all my Mexican buddies about how my boy got his ass beat. That day is still the worst day in my boxing fan days and it haunts me till this day.
Is that How yesterday felt for all the Margarito Fans?
What was the most crushing loss as a fan that haunted you?
Right here. I'd rank may 2nd as one of the top five worst night of my life.
However, I must say that's what it took for me to make certain that I'm never quite so emotionally attached either to the outcome of a fight, or a fighter in general. I've since enjoyed watching boxing from an objective and (hopefully) unbaised point of view.
Much props for letting it out. Before the Pacman fight I would see Hatton got jobbed against PBF due to Joe Cortez being the ref. After the Pacman fight Hatton fans are quite.:tapedshut
Any Hatton fans care to let it out.

Jones losing to Tarver. I didn't eat for like 2 days, I was teary eyed after the fight. Just brutal. I don't think any other loss in sports hurt as much as that loss.
Did it hurt more that RJJ lost or Did it hurt more that Milk Dud Tarver did it.
Chavez vs De La Hoya
Marg vs mosley
Mijares vs Vic
Many more
Was it more devastating to learn that Marg had bben using plaster during his fights or the Marg loss?

i still remember it like it was yesterdayit was june 20th 09 ... david haye the undisputed cruiserwight champ went to germany full of attitude and confidence to win the heavyweight championship, only to get his ass knocked out after being thoroughly outboxed
Devastation was watching Erik Morales going out the way he did to David Diaz. I was hoping for that fourth title in his fourth weight division, and history just wasn't meant to be for the Mexican great! Even though I thought he did enough to win that fight.... To this day it's still devastating, but I kind of seen that coming when he started to have weight issues and conditioning problems in the end.
I was a kid when Buster KO'd Tyson. Watchin Tyson fights got me into this shit, so I was in shock.
Seein RJ get KO'd by Tarver had me damn near in mourning for a while.
Toney gettin robbed blind by Peter in the 1st fight had me feelin sumthin stronger than anger, I dunno if it'd be considered devastation or not tho.
When Lennox was KOed by Rahman I cried. I was depressed after that. It was such a big suprise and it hurt. But revenge was sweet.....
I was also very sad after Calzaghe pummeled Lacy but I wasn't as shell shocked be cause I knew it was a good possibility Calzaghe would beat him.....Just didn't think it would be so badly.
I was really devasted when Tito lost to Hopkins. My boys and I (we are all Rican) always threw these big BBQ's at the crib. When Hopkins threw down our flag several times including in P.R. before the fight everyone was in an uproar. Holy shit I thought he was going to get assassinated or something. Shit really pissed off Ricans, I mean hell we banned Madonna from coming back to our island because she wiped her chocha with our flag during a concert what do you think we would do to someone like Hopkins disrespecting our pride like that? But no Tito said he would handle the manner inside the ring...and of course after he dispatched Jopy with ease we were like ok Hopkins is dead meat anyways right? WRONG!!! Adding more injury to insult freaking Hopkins pulls of the performance of a lifetime...not only did he outbox, outbrawl, out everything Tito he straight up whooped him soooo bad that Daddy Tito had to throw in the towell...worst f$cking day of my life and 2nd worse day of my life is when I heard Tito and Hopkins might do a rematch this november....damn why Tito do you have to make us relive that damn moment again....lmao!!!
I remember that day well. It was a couple weeks after 9-11 and it was postponed because of the tragedy. I was so surprised that Tito looked Slow and so Flat footed for being in there with the bigger Hopkins. I guess Hopkins has figuered out how to beat up on Big Name Stars that are undersized compared to him.
Tito killing Mayorga was bad for me because i'm half nicaraguense and Mayorga is theonly thing we have besides Arguello but Tito was a classy champ.
I felt SO bad for you Ricans because people didnt understand how hurt the Ricans were when the flag was thrown. Hopkins became Dr. Evil on that night
I was there when Mayorga knocked out Forrest in Temecula. Nobody knew who this cat was. I only seen one Nicaraguan flag and that dude was hype.

Tyson losing to Lewis was bad
Mayorga losing to Trinidad and Oscar was worst
Ricky Hatton knocking out Jose Luis Castillo was THE worst as my favorite boxer was broke shot and couldnt go back to the weight class he was actually good in.
The Mayweather Castillo 1 decision got me pretty heated but it was such a good fight I couldnt cry robbery like others did
