LOL Last night against Margarito! Have you watched Mosley fight before??? Would you consider him a boxer or fighter?? If, you answer these ?? honestly then you have your answer as to who will win this fight. Cotto was a GREAT combo fighter boxer/puncher and IMO he did all he could against Margs. Mosley at this stage has NO chance! #1 he's the shorter fighter, #2 he's not known for work rate and is a fighter (perfect for Margs), not boxer (Williams), #3 Father time will catch up with SSM in this fight. Margs by TKO 7th or 8th round. It won't be pretty and I believe shane will take a beaten. Mosley WAXED that ass son!!

Mosley might Hurt Margo in the first couple of rounds,but as the fight goes on Shane will start to tire and start to fight going backwards.Thats when Margo is most dangerous, so yes Shane will probably hurt Tony early,but he wont win.

Just because Margarito beat Cotto on workrate and power everyone thinks this guy is indestructible.. Shane Mosley is equally skilled as Cotto at this point but wont gas out like him and he may have more pop than cotto at 147 also.. Margarito gets hit alot and he can be hurt.. I do think people go to far when they say that Shane won't be in the fight at all. I like Margarito by close decision though because of his youth and work rate though. Unlike Cotto, Shane not only has an unquestionable chin but he also has great stamina, so he can not only weather the storm late but he will be in it until the fight is over. Also i agree that its not out of the question for Shane to hurt Margarito. If he thinks he can just walk in and is too overconfident and not worried bout Mosley's power, then he could be caught with something he doesn't see. Hes been down early in fights before.

Also name 1 fighter outside Winky and Forrest, that Shane has faced with more power than Margs?? Keep in mind both of those fighters beat Shane and Forrest who has one hand power (right) knocked him down. Now take into account that was about 5 to 7 years ago and Margs has "2" hand POWER, with a higher work rate than Winky or Forrest. I'm telling you, this is gonna get ugly for Mosley. Oh snap! Thats crazy... was that whole fight back and forth like that? No that fight was pretty one sided. I think Mosley got knocked down again later in the fight. The rematch was closer with no knockdowns but he still lost that fight. Forrest just had Mosley's number for some reason throughout his career, professional and amateur.

I've never seen the Mosley knockdown against Forrest... was it bad or more of a flash knockdown? I know the guy has a chin comparable to Toni's. Yeah he was hurt.. Probably the worst of his career but still managed to make it to the end of the 12th round and lost a unanimous decision.

Shane approached the Cotto fight wrong and he will be the first one to say he underestimated Cotto's power. But when he changed his gameplan in the second half of that fight he looked like a totally different fighter. I might have posted in the wrong thread because I don't think Shane can knock out Margarito. There is no chance of that. But I do think he can outbox him for a split decision. Shane has faced the best and only really got owned by Forrest in their first fight. (Shane has had problems with Forrest since his Amateur days) That should tell you something, that Shane is a game fighter and will show it again on Saturday night. This is not going to be a one sided fight it will get ugly for both men at some points in this fight.

The key is not if he is a boxer or a slugger. He has both skills but he can box very well. Against Cotto he underestimated Miguel's punching power and tried to go toe to toe. He won't make that mistake against Margarito and if he does the fight will end pretty quickly. He has to be focused and I really believe he will be. He has better skills at this point than Roy. Roy's whole career was built around his speed. Speed is gone and so are the wins for Jones. I'm not saying Shane is a world beater but he does have enough skill to win against Antonio. Has anyone ever seen Margarito even staggered? I don't pretend to be the authority on Toni, but I can't remember ever seeing him even staggered. Danny Perez knocked him down. But that was a decade ago.
