Franklin McNeil is reporting that Lou DiBella is eyeing a Berto-Collazo rematch later this year:
"This was a classic fight; the best welterweight match in years. I don't think there is anyone who saw this fight who wouldn't want to see it happen again."
"There will be a rematch."

Just seen the fight and it was close. Berto just don't like to listen to his corner and he can hang inside but not well educated. I see no reason why either side belive they won.
It's a fairly safe fight against Collazo someone that doesn't have a whole lot of power. It delays the inevitable knockout loss Berto will suffer as soon as he steps up against a live body with power.
THe problem with close fights is, if you want the guy who doesn't get the nod to win, it becomes a robbery. I slightly wanted and thought Marquez beat Pacquiao in the rematch, and in the first fight for that matter. Nonetheless, neither fight was a robbery. Fights are close, it happens. If one guy wins 7 rounds, and the other guy wins 5 on your scorecard, it's not a robbery either way. It means two rounds were seen differently by another person.
It's called an opinion. Even Collazo didn't look like he felt robbed. He looked like a guy willing to admit this fight was up in the air.
yeah IMO the words robbery + Controversial get thrown on here way too much
the only thing remotely controversial about Berto-Collazo is the one score of 116-111
i personally had it 114-113 Berto
**Thought Lederman's scorecard was pretty accurate minus giving Luis rounds 6 and 7.

who gives a fruk who won! that shyt was fun to watch and I prayed for a rematch after watching it. We are getting what we have been begging for! I thought Collazo won also but if it goes the same way again then we all know who will get the nod (Collazo) and then again a rematch! Stop whining so much and just enjoy!

surprise move by the usually, sh*tty dibella. If he keeps his word, he will have gained some respect from me!
That means different opinions and the more peole happened to vote for Collazo. Still most of those who had Collazo winning agree that it could have gone either way......they're not like you is so sure that Collazo won and that it wasn't even close.
Also, boxingscene doesn' have every fan on here. There is plenty more that had Berto winning who haven't voted.
Not to mention the Crowd felt Berto won.
You're the type of person that will never be satisfied. If he didn't give him a rematch then you would be saying that Berto is afraid of him. Just be happy that he is a man of his word and will give him a rematch.
TY. We have alot of extremist fans in here who are just so arrogant with their opinions. They just can't respect the fact that other people saw it differently.
foolish
I don't want to see the rematch. Collazo did everything he needed to win the first time and didn't get the nod. Not sure how that can possibly change?
Berto only wants it because he is afraid of the other big names at welter and by taking the rematch right away he can avoid them for another 4-6 months.

So what 2 persons prove compared to 120+ that think Collazo won compare to the 54 that think Berto won. So there you go!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Collazo did do enough to win. That much is obvious. Berto did not do enough to win 116-111. That is also obvious.
Collazo can win 8 rounds and he will get a Draw at best if he fights Berto again on HBO.
I really don't care how people on this forum scored it because I don't think many people here are even remotely qualified to score a fight. They probably are just as qualified to administer the bailout of the financial services indistry.Collazo did enough to ARGUABLY win the fight. The same case can be made for Berto. That is why it can go either way.Altough indeed the 116-11 score was shit.
I have two Collazo fans from NY on record saying that they had Berto winning by a point after rewatching the fight. SO THERE>
I have two black friends in Haiti so therefore I'm not a racist.

Well people dont' really care if you don't wanna see the rematch. People need to stop acting like they're above it and their opinion is the ultimate that overrides everyone elses. But if you wanna be stuck up with a broom up your ass.....be that way.
Just look at the poll. And you will see how many people tought Collazo won compare to Berto!!!!!!!!!!!!
Would you care if there were more people in the poll that had Berto winning??? No because it wouldn't go with your analogy right?
My analogy is that it was close and everyone is entitle to their opinion. I have two Collazo fans from NY on record saying that they had Berto winning by a point after rewatching the fight. SO THERE>
But yet you come in here saying there is no need to fight him he did enough to win??? How did he do enough to win when there are even Collazo fans who saw Berto win by point.
It's debatable...and it was a entertaining fight so a rematch should happen.
