HBO Commentators DO NOT CARE about the future of HBO!!!!

You need to point me in the direction of some of those quotes because comparing fighters like them to Paul Williams is wrong. Maybe they are biased???? I just see commentators who speak their mind. I think they were on the broadcast of the P Will-Phillips fight a while back, not 100% though. I did a quick search, but I can't find the thread/s I was looking for :( So, dis-regard that until I can find proof.

Kellerman hasn't even came close to saying any of that. He just said Paul Williams is a feared fighter and it is the truth. Who would want to fight an awkward southpaw who can throw an average of 100 punches a round. He is a much better skilled Margarito and that is a dangerous fighter. If I remember correctly, he did actually compare P Will to all of those I listed. I know I over-exagerated, but you should know that was just as a joke :lol1: All i'm saying is..we're all biased, and so are HBO. HBO are biased towards their own (IMO).

Lampley is allowed to be a fan of a fighter but he did bring that into his commentating and which is unprofessional. Kellerman says how it is and so does Merchant...Lewis is the neutral one of the bunch. Kellerman prounounced P Will to be Hearns, Whitaker and JCC all in one, who will rule 3 divisions at once with an iron fist. Isn't that just a little bit biased? I suppose I generalise a bit by just saying HBO in general. Really, it's just some of them are very very biased. And it's generally the case that they seem to be biased towards the HBO Star fighter IMO.

I agree with Kball. HBO commentary may be biased, but they arent biased for HBO. yall make me laugh sometimes. If HBO really cared so much, I guess Lederman qill be fired tonight, since he gave the fight to Collazo who was supposedly not the 'house fighter'...?' what about the multiple times that HBO guys have called fighters out when they got gift decisions? the judges, the ref, the commentary, they can all be biased. but to think that HBO is behind it all is idiotic.

Who did Lewis have Bias for? He didn't see the fight as a robbery. BTW Lampley and his Cotto love were not in this HBO telecast. Were they not? Ahhh, fair enough. Disregard 116-111 please. We know it's a terrible score. Two had it 114-113. Meaning that Berto won the 12th and probably the 1st which Led scored for Collazo. Really close rounds. Collazo taking off rounds didn't help his cause either.

You think in the current economical state that these guys are gunna try to piss HBO off? They need they're jobs, and whether you want to admitt it or not..HBO are bias as **** and have been for a long time. They are boxing FANS just like we are. They buy into hype as well. hype is something HBO film crew does extremely well, and they are required to watch all that stuff. They arent going to say that they thought BERTO won the fight just because it helps HBO out financially, they will say it because they truly believe it. They do not care. Hate him or love him, Max Kellerman ALWAYS tells it like it is. I thought Collazo won tonight, and i thought he won pretty clearly. But there were a bunch of close rounds in there and i am not outraged at all that Berto won the fight. A rematch should be made asap tho. If Berto fights smarter, and works the body more, i think he could beat Collazo. HIs physical gifts are rediculous. Collazo proves to me once again that he is the most underrated fighter in boxing, and would be HELLLLLLLLL for anybody in the welterweight division. Would looooove to see Collazo fight maybe CLOTTEY, that would be a terrific fight. CLOTTEY is the 2nd most underrated fighter in boxing IMO in hbo's defense its the promoter that pays the judges and refs.

Who exactly are HBO biased against? They're not biased against anyone, but they are bias towards their 'stars'. You can see it in commentary in loads of fights, one of the better examples being Cotto-Margarito.
