I don't know much about the sport behind the scenes aside of being a fan and watching it on TV but I do know it's alot easier to turn pro in boxing then it is to get into the NBA or college basketball.
In the old days, a pug who couldn't find a job got into boxing and started fighting every other week to earn a living. I realize thats not how boxing is anymore. It's alot harder now but still not the equivelant of a aspiring basketball player wanting to go into the NBA and make alot of money.
And gues what PUTO. I'm not looking for any money so that should clear it up. I don't have to earn it if I'm willing to fight for free. Only reward I would get from it is to say that I did it. I.E Boxrec.com
Have you checked box rec dot com they have phone numbers of manager/promoter and you can add yourself to that list or call one of them.
I've done the same thing, did it mostly on my own with the help of a friend that gave me the contacts. If you want to do it you got to push and push. I did it for my own reasons and no it wont get out of your system. I wish to box again, just ain't dedicated as i once was and no where near my boxing weight. Good luck in what ever you do.
That's what I practically told the dude but he says by him asking whats the fastest way to become a pro its not what he meant.
You forgot the nueroligist test, then if you get ko'd back to the doctor to give you a look over again, it adds up if you have no money let the promoter know that you have no money, he'll pay then deduct it from your pay. And each time you fight you have to repeat the process again.
Sounds like a hard a.ss that wants to tell ppl he's a pro which mean utter shit if you can't fight. The girls won't like it once they actually see you in there flapping like a near dead fish.
What does a mofo have to do to get a shot at fighting professionally in a boxing ring. I'm not looking for money, fame or anything like that.
Hell I'm not even agressive, it's not like i'm looking to whoop somebody. It's simple, I just wanna turn pro, fight one time and get it out of my system.
So I can say I fought professionaly once. Kno what I mean???? They're making it hard for the average person to get into boxing these days unless they live in a boxing area where there are alot of gyms and people who have connections to boxing.
 you expect to just have people lable you a pro and fight a pro? Being a professional anything means you're actually a professional at what your doing, which means chances are you have dedicated a big part of your life to learn that profession. What you said is equivalent to man they're making it hard to play on an nba team, why can't i just get on a team. It's pretty stupid really. YOu have to earn your shot and prove your a professional. You want to be a pro fighter get your ass in the gym and start working on it, you can just be like charlie and label your ass a pro only to get hit once and quit like a bit ch!
It makes perfect sense. Brief Summary: An average Joe with no previous official experience in boxing amateur or professonal is asking if there is a way to turn pro and get a fight professionally. Even if he gets paid nothing as long as it's an official fight.
Pretty simple.
Well I specified that for you if you read.haha. I told you what to do, there isn't no 50 amateur experience, just get your stuff together and go down and do it.
Train your ass off if your really gonna do this, bro. If your gonna take one fight just to say you did, might as well be able to say you won.
****, you got me thinking about it now....:boxing::boxing:
every state has their own boxing commission. look up the number for it on google and give them a call. or go up to the place. you'll have to pay a fee for your license, a physical, and your gear. then the local promoter they refer u to will set up a fight with a no name for ya. you'll get paid $200 a round, (thats the least amount a professional fighter can make) and thats it. TA-DA!

I don't have a background but I have trained and sparred before in this gym they used to have, I pretty much know all the basic funementals. I'm pretty sure I'd beat a 1-13 bum. Unless he has been losing to world class competition that many times, he aint getting by me......but that's not the point.
It's not like I'm looking for a career here, just one fight to say I did it. I'm not a dreamer, I know the reality of boxing.
I think what I'm asking for might be available in Mexico..lol. I heard they give a license and let fight pretty much anybody down there, including 16 year olds. Not that hard to get a fight there I think.
