Damn TS. I hope you ain't seriously usin Lacy's and old RJ's performances against Joe C as the benchmark for American prizefighters.
You're absolutely right. But, not a battle you want to start... it'll only end up wasting your time and making you question why you even come to this site.
You're right... and I apologize to all for getting off subject
Washington was born in Virginia... therefore he was a Colonial... being born in a colony is different than being born in either Wales, England, or Scotland (The areas constituting the Island of Great Britain).

Im from England, as you can tell, and this is one of the things that get to me most about the so called Hatton and Calzaghe fans. There fans are NOT boxing fans. They are just patriotic about their English and Welsh fighter.
3/4 quarters of the fans, HAVE NO BOXING KNOWLEDGE WHAT SO EVER... and this is true.
Over in England we have a radio station called talk sport. After Mayweather ****ed up Hatton, these Hatton fans were calling up talk sport , as they could'nt believe how good Mayweather was... Wtf? And i can gurantee, that was the first Mayweather fight they'd seen.
This is what i mean, all these fans that come across the atlantic to watch Hatton and Calzaghe are not boxing fans, they are just fans of the fighters. They have no boxing knowledge and would'nt watch any other fighter apart from Hatton or/and Calzaghe.
This dynamic works exactly if you use it to describe Americans.
Boxing isn't mainstream in either country; simple as.
The saddest part of this is that the British think Americans care about this bullshit. Americans root for fighters... not the country they're from. This isn't the World Cup.
The British on the other hand... having so little to be proud of will scream their support for whatever turd their country shits out in a pathetic and delusional attempt to restore their land to the stature it once held.
That was awesome and completely true

Because you Calzaghe fans have no boxing brains.
A calzaghe vs Pavlik fight really wouldn't be that competitive, styles make fights and Pavlik isn't even that good anyway
