Simple question.
Who sparked your interest in boxing ?
If it wasn't a particular person, what was the catalyst for you becoming a fan of the sweet science ?
I accidentally walked into a boxing gym and ended up talking to the owner of the GYM, he was an old Guy just like Mickey out of the Rocky movies. I was a pretty lost teenager and started training and sparring. I found out a few weeks later that the Trainer used to hang out with my Grandfather and some of my other family when they were younger.
Around the time I got into the fight game DLH was fighting Chavez and he was in his prime yet to be beaten.

i got into MMA, then trained in Muay thai and favored the stand up art a bit more, and now here i am! i like most types of combat sports, but boxing got my #1 interest, MMA is #2.
Rocky 4 lead me to reading boxing history (I'm a history buff). While doing this I came across the epic fights such as Louis vs Schmeling II, the Ali-Frazier trilogy, and ect. Truth is boxing has several memorable heroes and villians (who is which depends on ones opinion), and many great stories. All this combined with my love for fighting it just stuck with me and I became a modern era fan. So in short Rocky Balboa.
Good thread btw.
My brother and Father got me into watching boxing when i was a kid. Ofcourse this was the mid 90's and the only person I watched was Tyson. I was never interested in too many ppl below heavyweight until 3 or 4 years ago. But I became an overall fan of every weightclass myself
My grandad.
I remember been about 6 or 7 and I was really bored in the house and he put on one of those Boxing videos which had knockouts, people falling over the ropes, people flyin into the arena type videos. from there I became a fan and Naz was always on the tele at the time and become a fan of his at the time.
