What fight in 2008 made you PROUD to be a BOXING FAN....

Calzaghe-Hopkins; it was an anti-climax but it was an even that you HAD to watch. Margarito-Cotto; for me it was fight of the year Pacquiao-Dela Hoya; great build up, great fight. Haye-Barret; David's arrival was great. Also bought a new car that day too. A great night. Great fight.

1.) Cotto-Margarito -Excitement, brutality 2.) Vasquez-Marquez 3 -Excitement, brutality 3.) Pac-Marquez 2 -2 guys who took, what was it? 4 years to meet each other again? 4.) Pac-DLH -the intriguing build up, shocking outcome 5.) Vic-Mijares -Shocking outcome These are off the top of my head because they stook in my head the most, but I'm sure I'm missing some that happened earlier in the year that were exciting.

I'm not sure how one can be PROUD to be a spectator. How about glad?

Yeah it really shook up the division big time! Where as a Hopkins vs Pavlik didnt really change shit! Yeah gets my nod too, Marquez vs Izzy MAY have been better but Cotto and Marg are Bigger in size (which does make a difference) plus Cotto was undefeated and the ending was more memorable, just a splash of greatness to the whole fight! This are some of the few fights which we boxing fans will still appreciate in generations to come...Imagine if COTTO wins and goes on to fight MAYWEATHER....what could have been the outcome..DEFINITELY he will be out there in the TOP 3 P4P and definetly MONEY MAY CANNNOT IGNORE HIM and say he is a nobody. Imagine MARG losing....we couldn't have been a witness to this BEAST of fighter who still GUARD the MOUNTAINS OF WELTERWEIGHT...and him vanishing in obscurity...MARG needs the win MORE than COTTO and he did just that...this fight definitely change the way welterweight and the P4P is percieved today...

andrade bute almost did Dude, I was out of my seat in that 12th round. Andrade showed great class after wards, as well. Made me a huge fan of his.

I must be GETTING OLD...... HOW CAN I FORGET THIS ONE HELL OF A FIGHT!!!! same reasons plus the impact to the DIVISION and the landscape of the BOXING WORLD as a WHOLE.............. margarito cotto, hopkins pavlik these two right here. I tipped Margarito to win prior to the fight with one of my mates in the pub but he was saying how Cotto is that good, Floyd was ducking him and that is why he would beat Margarito. I enjoyed the hype around the fight of Pavlik-Hopkins and it sure didn't disapoint. It was great to see Bernard put on a performence like that after coming off that loss to Calzaghe and showing he still had one last performence before he/if he retires.
