Wilde deserves to be rated above Pac ATM but we'll see , if Pac cleans out either LW or JWW while being a former Flyweight champ then his status increase, Wilde sounds like a fookin beast though
i think before he was a boxer he was working at the circus.
people would pay money to challenge him and if they were able to beat him they'd win a prize.
he was barely 8 stone and he would ko guys twice his weight.

yep. when I first read about him 15 or so yrs ago I was amazed by his output. still am. If Wilde wasnt fighting in booths and doing god knows what else to make a buck, he'd probably be kicking seroius ass these days.
Even as a Brit, I struggle to justify putting Jimmy Wilde above Pacquaio. Maybe I just don't know enough about his era.
"Jimmy Wilde
131-3-2 (99), 13 no-decisions
World Flyweight Champion 1916-'23
It's hard for fans of any era to properly appreciate a man who fought several generations before their own, but Wilde's greatness shouldn't be overlooked just because it occurred 90 years ago. A fighter's historical value is measured by how well he did against the best fighters of his era and in this regard Wilde has few peers in all of boxing, never mind British boxing.
Look at the record again: three losses in 149 fights, with 99 knockouts. Though Wilde rarely weighed more than 100 pounds he was among the best punchers ever. The Ring magazine placed him third among history's great punchers, behind only Joe Louis and Sam Langford, two icons of the sport. And his mammoth winning streaks are rivaled only by those compiled by Sugar Ray Robinson and Willie Pep. This is where he belongs and it's not close."

I think Wilde weighed less than 100 pounds. I dunno how many stone. and he used to beat up guys that were lightweights. and he fought in carny booths back then I think. just hard as f#$k I guess
Roberto Duran
Sam Langord
Jimmy Wilde
Eder Jofre
Julio Cesar Chavez
Bob Fitzsimmons
Alexis Arguello
Carlos Monzon
Jose Napoles
Salvador Sanchez
Wilfredo Gomez, Kid Gavilan, Azumah Nelson and Mike McCallum are on the outskirts. Manny Pacquiao is working his way up too.
You idiots, do you understand that Canada or Brazil or Panama or PR is still America!!!!!!!!! You need to refrase the question and write instead of america, outside the US, every person in this side of planet is pretty much a american. The US is not the only country who represent the Americas, we have North America , South America and central America. The term american apply to everybody from one of those continents, not to the US citizens only!!!!!
America is the USA, the continents collectively are the Americas, when talking about someone from one of the continents you put the name of the continent. e.g South American, North American
