No Froch For Kessler. Froch-taylor next.

If Taylor fights Froch (on showtime) look for Kessler to make his volontary defense against Mads Larsen in an all-danish clash and then Kessler has a savage (lol) mandatory coming up against the feared Gusmyl Perdomo (who?). Damned. Who is this Perdomo-guy and who did he blow to become Kessler's mandatory. He lost to Sartison didn't he? And Kessler pretty much beat the living shit out of Sartison. I must admit I've never seen Perdomo fight, but I have a feeling this could get ugly for the Venezuelan. Kessler's last fight against Haussler could have ended in disaster, but lucky for Haussler he went down relatively early and had the common sense to stay down. What is wrong with WBA?

Promoter Mick Hennessy says that Lou Dibella has called him, and Jermain Taylor is ready for Froch. Hennessy didn't think Taylor/DiBella wanted the fight which is why he had earlier approached Mogens Palle about a possible fight against Kessler. This all leaves Kessler in a bit of a limbo....none of the big SMW-names is interested at this moment. Hopefully Kessler fights the winner later this year. My prediction: Taylor by late TKO or Froch by controversal split hometurf decision. kess imo would beat both of them. thts pretty much a given here. imo taylor has a very good chance to get the W against froch. iv seen a a few froch fights and the guy is a handful for any SMW, he throws punches from stange angles, is very heavy handed, has good power, an awesome chin and his jab and range is better than you might expect as well. however as shown by pascal, when he comes across someone with a sturdy chin he looks a little amateur and sloppy. he throws strange punches yes from awkward angles yes but because of that he cant group his shots together as well. he is too often looking for the one punch KO win. taylor is more orthodox, hes not exactly a big hitter (not even at MW) but he has decent power and snap, he has good handspeed (imo quicker than pascal) but he is more willing and able to use it it as well. its his chin that has to come under examination when matching him up against froch though. with froch's style and unorthodoxness you just know that over 12 rnds he will tag his opponent at least once. it might only be a glancing blow it might be flush but his unpredictablity means that punches may come from where you least expect them and thats the punch that hurts the most. taylor has been KO'ed before, also by a punch that he didnt see coming but imo his chin is still strong. hes been in the ring with big hitters before and not been down, in fact it think im right in saying the fight with pavlik was the only time he has been down. but froch is a big puncher in the SMW stakes, maybe even the biggest. but with his undoubted strength comes a lack of quickness, even while watching the fight it seemed obvious that alot of his punches were slow and sometimes even telegraphed. imo taylor has the ability to get the UD over froch, as long as he fights the right fight and doesn't get involved in a tear up.

Although Froch has plent of heart and determination, based on what I saw in the Pascal fight, I think both Taylor and Kessler would outclass him. And that's your WHOLE problem.. You are basing your Opinion on ONE fight.. Too many people do that on here.. or even make an opinion based on the Press without EVEN seeing the fight.. Why don't you do some research... I am not saying I disagree with you.. I am positive Kessler would cream Froch.. But Taylor would have much less a chance.. And I make that assumption on the fact I have seen.. 12 Froch fights, 9 Taylor fights and 4 Kessler fights

Considered a factor by people who write boxing articles for a living, not just in their spare time. Ultimately it comes down to a difference in opinion, which can never proven fact or fiction, because of their nature as opinions. I don't discredit you for thinking he isn't fast, or for being British and most likely having very bad teeth. So why not just state your view and leave it at that? I'd tell you the experience I've had in the ring, in the corner, and in the gym... and you'd most likely state your personal experience. However, there's no way we could verify each other's stories. So why not just state it as your opinion, and leave it at that? Look numb nuts. Writing for an online site does not make you an expert. Go look up articles by Michael Lieberman at boxing news24. com to see that so called "expert" at work. Lets go back to what you said. DiBella's call to Hennessey is old news. HBO doesn't want the fight. If push comes to shove, and the alternative opponents (Winky, Kessler) don't pan out, they might take it, but for now it's not looking good.

I took an early nap after work yesterday so I could get up and watch the Froch-Pascal fight aired on FSN just after midnight. What a show! So many things about that fight stand as what's RIGHT with boxing now. Froch puts together very intelligent and intricate combinations. Taylor's are more your standard run-of-the-gym combinations, but Taylor has much more handspeed than Froch and as much, if not more, power. I see it as being a good fight but I think Taylor is due for another stoppage. Taylor by TKO 10th.

I'm down wit either of these fights. Kessler better start fightin real comp soon.

damn Kessler really does need a fight .. good point .... when are Larsen+Bute supposed to clash? I hope for Mads Larsen they will meet soon, he looked pretty good in his last fight, the best he has looked since his comeback, following his long break (almost 4 years) Bute I guess is still a little shaky from the ass-kicking he recieved in that 12. round.
