Are there any fighters that will bring in 750,000+ PPV buys anymore?
Is there anyone out there that in the future that you see that might become that sort of star?
I can think of some individual fights that might do it..... Like Klitschko v Klitschko (though that supposedly will never happen) and Pacquiao vs Mayweather (might just squeak by the mark), but no fighters that will be able to do it outside of maybe one fight.
The only two guys I feel have the potential are:
Manny Pacquiao - Its contingent on his continued winning over great opponents, and its mainly because he has the access to the most opponents to fight against.
David Haye - Though I hate him, and feel he is overated, he has the personality and style of fighting that could bring fans. Add to that the fact that he is a heavyweight, and they get undue attention as it is. People have been waiting for an exciting heavyweight champion for awhile now, and this might be the guy they hitch up to.
So any fighter you can think of with this potential?
I dont think the hatton pacquiao match would be good for boxing. I say that based on the fight hatton had with Mayweather. Manny is similar in the categories of strength and speed. Although, i never saw the fight against Paulie, i know hatton won but what changed from the floyd fight to that fight? to me he is a easy target to hit, no head movement, hands below his chin and he walks forward thats a punchers dream!
I think we have a few of them now that may fill the shoes, some up and coming others their name is known amongst the elite. We have margarito of course, cotto who i do not think can be counted out, the punisher paul williams, chad dawson, my favorite, I think the next few years of boxing will be solid. Hopefully these names and others can lift the sport back to where it belongs.

mayweather return PPV fight would be the closest thing i can think of (especially if that ppv is against pacman).
overall pacman is probably going to shape into the next big draw but he HAS to get bigger with the casual american fans...his skills/talent and fighting style dont need any improvement in my opinion to make him a star its going to have to be the promoting and selling to the american public for him to be that star...
however in all honesty oscar de la hoya is a special person and fighter that (in my opinion) only comes around once every generation.
Think about it...every era had one big fighter that filled seats.
you have ali, tyson, oscar, roy jones, marciano, joe louis, ray robinson, leonard; etc.
you hit the lottery in my opinion to get more than one in the same generation.

Haye has a chance "IF" he could beat both Klitschkos and vanquish them from the top of the heavyweight division. That's a big IF though.. don't think he has what it takes to get it done. Wlad? Maybe. Vitali? Not a prayer.
We've just lost our biggest cash cow and I highly doubt that anyone out there right now has the stuff to go mainstream. It'll happen I suppose, but not for quite a while.

Floyd, if he comes out of retirement and fights Manny.
